Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui :1) pengaruh pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir terhadap modal sosial; 2) pengaruh modal sosial terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir: 3) pengaruh pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir terhadap kesejahteraan; 4) pengaruh pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir terhadap kesejahteraan melalui modal sosial. Peneltian ini dilakukan pada masyarakat pesisir di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara pada tiga wilayah Kabupaten/Kota yaitu: Kabupaten Konawe, Kabupaten Kolaka dan kota Kendari. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota penerima dana bergulir pada tahun 2001-2007 yang berada pada ketiga wilayah penelitian tersebut yang berjumlah 1526 0rang. Besarnya jumlah sampel dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin ditentukan sebanyak 122 orang. Analisis data penelitian adalah path analisys dengan menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir melalui pendirian solar packed dealer untuk nelayan (SPDN), pemberian modal usaha, lembaga keuangan mikro dan kedai pesisir telah mampu memberikan dorongan terhadap peningkatan modal sosial masyarakat pesisir ; 2) bahwa modal sosial yang tumbuh didalam masyarakat pesisir yaitu kekuatan jaringan pemasaran, saling percaya antar kelompok nelayan, unsur timbal balik, partisipasi kelompok dan norma meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir; 3) pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir yang telah dilaksanakan secara langsung belum mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir; 4) bahwa pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir ketika dimediasi oleh modal sosial.
English Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine: (1) the impact of economic empowerment of coastal community on social capital; (2) the impact of economic empowerment on coastal community on their welfare; (3) the impact of social capital on the welfare of coastal community; (4) the impact of economic empowerment of coastal community on welfare through social capital. This research was carried out among the coastal community in the province of Southeast Sulawesi in three regencies/municipalities, that is: Regency of Konawe, Regency of Kolaka and municipality of Kendari. The population of this research is all recipients of grant in the three region, and the number is 1.529 persons. Sample size as calculated by Slovin formula is 122 respondent. Analysis of research data was carried out using path analysis with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The result of the research shows that: (1) the economic empowerment of coastal community through the establishment of solar packed dealer for fishermen, infusion of working capital, micro finance institution, and coastal cafes have provided a boost for the improvement of social capital among the coastal community; (2) that the social capital which grows among the coastal community through the strength of the marketing network between fishermen, businessmen, retailer and fish smokers, mutual trust among fishermen, mutual assistance, group participation and compliance with rules have improved the welfare of coastal community; (3) the economic empowerment of coastal community has been implemented directly but has not improved the welfare of coastal community (4) economic empowerment of coastal community has improved the welfare of coastal community when mediated by social capital.
