The study uses descriptive qualitative method, a case study using the Giddens structural approach. This study puts heavy emphasis on meaning, contexs and emic perspectives. The data analysis is based on Cresswell (1994): analyzing important statement, formulating, describing, reducing data to lead to findings, proposition and conclusion. The data collection and data analysis are conducted simultaneously; prioritizing observation and interview and the researcher herself as the main research instrument. The findings of the study shows: (1) The practice of PLS consists of three points, namely (a) There are 13 parties involved in the process of rice cultivation, the four parties directly involved of PLS system called shareholders and nine parties indirectly involved called stakeholders, ( b) There are four cost models of land maintenance, namely, LL (Land Lease), CF-M-D (Cultivator Farmers – partnered with Majek handyman – Derep handyman), CF-SM-D (Cultivator Farmers – Self Majek – partnered with Derep handyman) and LL-PLS-CF(Land Lord – Profit and Loss Sharing System – Cultivator Farmers), (c) There are three of PLS system with a ratio: bawonan 12:3:1, pertelonan 2:1, and paroan 1:1; (2) There are five meanings of PLS for rice farmers, namely (a) economic justice meaning, (b) welfare meaning, (c) mutual aid meaning, (d) blessed meaning and (e) as an ethic resource meaning.
