Abstract

Usaha peningkatan produktivitas perusahaan dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara. Diantaranya adalah mengurangi waste, menambah utilitas operator dan melakukan rekayasa tata letak fasilitas. Dari observasi existing diketahui bahwa operator harus menunggu rata rata 46% untuk setiap produk yang akan diinjeksi, karena adanya ketidakseimbangan waktu proses injeksi dengan waktu proses pengecekan produk oleh operator . Apabila dikonversi dalam bentuk rupiah, maka kerugian yang diderita perusahaan adalah Rp 1.151.718,00/operator/bulan. Maka rekayasa tata letak fasilitas menjadi sangat krusial untuk meningkatkan work load operator dan utilitasnya. Berdasarkan analisa tata letak fasilitas pabrik dengan metode ARC, proses perakitan produk bisa dialihkan kearea proses injection molding, sehingga layout workstation baru bisa mengurangi proses material handling sebesar 49,4 meter dan 42,9 detik Berdasarkan analisa work load dan analisa proses simulasi, desain layout workstation yang baru bisa meningkatkan utilitas dan beban kerja operator, sehingga proses produksi yang berlangsung lebih optimal. Berdasarkan analisa biaya, desain layout workstation baru bisa menghemat biaya buruh dari segi jumlah operator dan dari segi proses material handling. Untuk penghematan dari segi jumlah operator yaitu bisa mengurangi jumlah operator sebanyak 2 orang dan bisa menghemat biaya buruh sebesar 14.640.541, 50 perbulan. Sedangkan BEP (Break event Point) dengan adanya desain layout baru, bisa tercapai sekitar 14,23 bulan.

English Abstract

Company productivity improvement efforts can be done in various ways, such as reduce waste, Increase utility operators and do engineering layout that has been used. From result of existing observation reveal that operators need to wait an average of 46 % for each product to be injected, because it shown an imbalance between injection processing time and product inspection time by operator. If we converting it labor wages, total lose suffered by company is IDR 1,151,718.00/operator/month. Hence, engineering layout has become very crucial to increase workload and operator utility. Based on plant facility layout analysis, with ARC method, product assembly process can be diverted to injection molding process area, so that layout of new workstation could reduce material handling processes much as 49.4 meters and 42.9 seconds Based on work load analysis and simulation process, new design layout of work stations could increase operator workload and utilization also, so production process more efficient than before. Based on cost analysis, new design of work station layout could save labor costs from total amount of operator and material handling process. From total amount of operator, it can be saved by reducing 2 operators and it could save cost of labor worker as much as IDR 14,640,541,50 per month. So that BEP (Break Event Point) can be attain around 14, 23 months with existence of new design layout of work station.
