Sakitri, Galih (2012) The Mediating Role of Job Stress on The Relationship between Stressors and Employee Performance (A Study at Pertamina Exploration and Production Business Unit, Tanjung, South Kalimantan, Indonesia). Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Motivated by a dearth of research on stressors, job stress, and employee performance associated with phenomenon of outsourcing system adopted by organizations. present article has written much ink regarding relationship between stressors, job stress, and employee performance among outsourcing employees in Pertamina, Exploration and Production Business Unit, Tanjung, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Given that, we posit job stress as a mediator, hierarchical regression analysis proposed by Baron and Kenny was employed in order to examine relationship. Moreover, data were obtained from 209 workers who enrolled as an outsourcing employee. As expected, current article revealed that job stress fully mediates relationship between stressors and employee performance. Besides, article conveyed clearly empirical relationship between stressors, job stress, and employee performance which is not only significant, but also portrayed a curve relationship. Ultimately, academic and practical implications were discussed.
