Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh secara langsung kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi karyawan, kepuasan kerja, dan kinerja karyawan. Tujuan lainnya yaitu, menginvestigasi pengaruh secara langsung motivasi karyawan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kinerja karyawan, pengaruh secara langsung kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kemudian penelitian ini juga menginvestigasi pengaruh tidak langsung kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi karyawan dan kepuasan kerja. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah FEB UMM, sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah karyawan FEB UMM. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 40 karyawan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert, sedangkan metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penemuan ini adalah transformational berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan dan kepuasan kerja, tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penemuan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa motivasi karyawan dinyatakan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kemudian, kepuasan kerja dinyatakan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selanjutnya, kepemimpinan transformasional tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi karyawan, sehingga motivasi karyawan dapat memediasi pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sementara kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kepuasan kerja, sehingga kepuasan kerja dinyatakan dapat memediasi pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan.
English Abstract
This study aims at investigating effect of direct transformational leadership on employee motivation, jobs satisfaction, and employee performance. Next, it also aims at investigating effect of direct employee satisfaction and motivation on employee job performance and employees performance, and to know if job satisfaction gives direct influence on employee performance. Than in this study also investigates influence of indirect transformational leadership on employee performance through employee motivation and job satisfaction. research was conducted at Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Meanwhile, subjects of this study were employees of FEB UMM. re were 40 employees which were taken as samples. technique of data collecting used questionnaires with Likert scale, whereas method of analysis used to answer purposes of this study was Partial Least Square (PLS). finding of this study reveals that transformational leadership gives positive and significant effect on employee motivation and employees job satisfaction. On o r hands, re is no significant effect found on employee performance. finding also shows that employee motivation gives positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. However it does not give significant effect on employee performance. n, job satisfaction also shows positive and significant effect on employee performance. n, transformational leadership has no significant effect on employee performance through employee motivation, so that employee motivation cannot mediate effect of transformational leadership on employee performance. While transformational leadership has significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction, so job satisfaction expressed can mediate effect of transformational leadership on employee performance.
