Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti, menguji dan mengkaji pengaruh knowledge management dan strategic partner human resources terhadap perencanaan strategik dan kinerja organisasi. Studi dilakukan pada Local Company Internet Service Provider di Malang, dengan responden adalah pimpinan dan manajer lini Internet Service Provider. Tiap Internet Service Provider diwakili oeh enam responden dan unit analisisnya adalah organisasi Internet Service Provider. Data dikumpulkan langsung dari responden dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian. Teknik analisis yang digunakan Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian membuktikan knowledge management dan strategic partner human resources mampu meningkatkan ketepatan perencanaan strategik dan perencanaan strategik dapat meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Hasil menarik dari penelitian ini adalah terbukti pengaruh knowledge management terhadap kinerja organisasi tidak signifikan dan ternyata perencanaan strategik memediasi secara sempurna pengaruh knowledge management terhadap kinerja organisasi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa, knowledge management bukan determinan langsung kinerja organisasi, akan tetapi merupakan input penting dari proses perencanaan strategik, dalam upaya organisasi meningkatkan kinerjanya. Strategic partner human resources juga terbukti berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi, dan terbukti perencanaan strategik memediasi dengan sempurna pengaruh strategic partner human resources terhadap kinerja organisasi. Hasil ini menggambarkan bahwa, keterlibatan departemen SDM secara aktif sebagai strategic partner ternyata bukan determinan langsung kinerja organisasi akan tetapi strategic partner human resources merupakan sumber kapabilitas organisasi dalam melakukan perencanaan strategik, untuk mencapai perbaikan kinerja organisasi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat diartikan bahwa, perencanaan strategik yang dilandasi dengan knowledge management dan strategic partner human resources dapat merupakan kapabilitas strategik organisasi yang berharga, langka dan tidak dapat ditiru serta disubtitusi. Kapabilitas demikian dapat menjadi kompetensi inti organisasi untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatkan kinerja, yang merupakan sumber keunggulan bersaing organisasi dalam menghadapi lingkungan bisnis yang berubah dengan cepat.

English Abstract

This study aims to examine, test and assess effect of knowledge management and strategic partner human resources to organizations strategic planning and performance. Studies conducted on Local Internet Service Provider Company in Malang, respondent is head of an Internet Service Provider and line managers. Each Internet Service Provider is represented by six respondents and unit of analysis is organizations Internet Service Provider. Data are collected directly from respondents using research instruments. analysis technique used path analysis. research proves knowledge management and strategic partner human resources able to improve precision of strategic planning and strategic planning can improve organizational performance. Interesting results of this study are shown to influence knowledge management to organizational performance is not significant and strategic planning turned out perfectly mediate effect of knowledge management on organizational performance. se results indicate that, knowledge management is not a direct determinant organizational performance, but it is an important input from strategic planning process, in an effort to improve organizational performance. Strategic partner of human resources also proved insignificant effect on performance of organization, and proven strategic planning mediate perfect strategic partner influence human resources to organizational performance. se results illustrate that, active involvement of human resources department as a strategic partner was not a direct determinant of organizational performance but a strategic partner of human resources is a source of organizational capabilities in strategic planning, to achieve improved organizational performance. Based on se results it can be interpreted that, strategic planning is based on knowledge management and human resources strategic partner can be an organizations strategic capability is valuable, rare and inimitable and can not be substituted. Such capabilities can be an organizations core competencies to improve or enhance performance, which is a source of organizational competitive advantage in face of changing business environment rapidly.
