Produksi Air Susu dan Profil Darah Induk Kelinci yang Diberi Pakan Tambahan Tepung Daun Katuk (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr)

Akbar, Mubarak (2013) Produksi Air Susu dan Profil Darah Induk Kelinci yang Diberi Pakan Tambahan Tepung Daun Katuk (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr). Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak fisiologis pada tubuh ternak meliputi produksi air susu induk kelinci, profil darah (kolesterol, glukosa, jumlah eritrosit, leukosit dan trombosit) dan imunitas tubuh ternak yang diberi pakan tambahan tepung daun katuk ( Sauropus androgynus L. Merr). 24 kelinci betina umur 6 – 12 bulan dibagi kedalam tiga kelompok dengan empat perlakuan pakan masing-masing dua ulangan. Perlakuan pakan yang diberikan: P0 = pakan kontrol, P1 = 99 % pakan kontrol + 1 % tepung daun katuk, P2 = 98 % pakan kontrol + 2 % tepung daun katuk, P3 = 97 % pakan kontrol + 3 % tepung daun katuk.

English Abstract

This study was aimed to determine effect of katuk ( Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) leaf meal to physiologycal of doe, included milk production, blood profile (cholesterol, glucose, erythrocyte, leukocyte, trombocyte), and that immun response. Twenty four does were raised from 6 – 12 month old, divided into three blocks, four treatment diets, and two replications. treatments were: P0 = control diet, P1 = 99 % control diet + 1 % katuk leaf meal, P2 = 98 % control diet + 2 % katuk leaf meal, P3 = 97 % control diet + 3 % katuk leaf meal. variables observed were: doe`s feed intake, doe`s milk production, kits mortality, kit weight gain, cholesterol, glucose, erythrocyte, leukocyte, thrombocyte, and immun response. Cholesterols and glucose were determined with GOD-PAP method with enzymatic colorimetric test. Blood cell were determined using haemocytometer. Whereas immune response were determined with dot blot methode. results showed that addition of katuk leaf meal could increased (P 0.05) milk production (127.92 – 134.75) g/day, weight gain kits (258 – 291.37) g/kit and erythrocyte (6.17 – 6.25) 10 6 /mm 3 during 3 weeks experiment, and decreased cholesterol (50.67 – 48.34) mg/dl and glucose (119 – 115) mg/dl but feed intake, mortality, leukocyte, thrombocyte and immun response not affected by katuk leaf meal. It is concluded that addition katuk leaf meal could increased doe`s milk production, weight gain kits and doe`s erythrocyte also decreased cholesterol and glucose of does. Whereas doe`s feed intake, kits mortality, leukocyte, thrombocyte and immune response of does not affected by katuk leaf meal.
