Abstract
Pada tesis ini dibahas kontrol optimal model epidemik host-vector dengan transmisi langsung, dengan menentukan dua kontrol yaitu kontrol pencegahan untuk meminimumkan kontak antara host dan vector dan kontrol pembasmian populasi vector . Tujuan kontrol optimal adalah untuk mendapatkan strategi pencegahan optimal dan meminimumkan biaya yang digunakan untuk menerapkan kontrol. Kontrol optimal diperoleh dengan menerapkan Prinsip Minimum Pontryagin. Selanjutnya, sistem optimal akan diselesaikan secara numerik untuk memeriksa adanya keefektifan kontrol dalam mereduksi kontak antara host dan vector .
English Abstract
This thesis discusses optimal control of a vector host epidemic model with direct transmission by determining two control variables, they are the preventive control to minimize vector-host contacts and the insecticide control to the vector. The aim is to derive optimal prevention strategies with minimal implementation cost. The characterization of optimal control is performed analitically by applying Pontryagin Minimum Principle. The obtained optimality system is then solved numerically to investigate that there are cost effective control efforts in reducing the incidence of infectious hosts and vectors.
