Abstract

Angkot (Angkutan = Transportasi dan Kota = City) adalah sistem transportasi umum di Malang, Provinsi Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Angkot memiliki banyak masalah tentang kinerja mereka, seperti waktu perjalanan yang lebih lama karena berhenti di sisi kiri, yang dapat menunggu penumpang, yang dapat mencegah orang di Malang dari Hangkot untuk kegiatan mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi Angkot Sistem kinerja untuk meningkatkan layanan teangkot di Malang.Tiga analisis dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, 1) hubungan antara panjang perjalanan dan tipikal pengguna angkot, 2) perbandingan antara permintaan dan frekuensi angkutan, dan 3) perbandingan antara tuntutan perjalanan Populace dan kesegutan layanan Angkot di Malang. Analisis hubungan antara panjang perjalanan dan karakteristik pengguna angkot mengungkapkan paling banyak orang di Malang menggunakan angkot dalam perjalanan pendek. Hasil perbandingan antara permintaan dan frekuensi. Angkot mengkonfirmasi bahwa 3 segmen jalanan dari total 277 Segmentsin Malang, Jalansoekarnatta `,` Jalan Mt. Haryono `, dan` Jalankyaitamin `, miliki ketidakcocokan antara permintaan dan frekuensi angkot Permintaan perjalanan dengan layanan langsung Angkot di Malang, ditemukan bahwa ada 6 zona yang tidak dilayani oleh angkot. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan sistem kinerja dalam Malang, perlu menjadwal ulang sistem rute angkot.

English Abstract

ANGKOT (ANGkutan=transportation and KOTa=city) is a public transportation system in Malang, East Java Province, Indonesia. Angkot has many troubles regarding their performing, such as longer travel time due to stopping on the left side of theroad to wait for the passenger, which may prevent people in Malang from usingAngkot for their activities.The aim of this research isintended to evaluate the Angkot performance system in order to improve theAngkot service in Malang.Three analyses were conducted in this study, 1) relationship between trip lengths and typical of Angkot users, 2) comparison between the demand and frequency of Angkot, and 3) comparison between travel demands of the populace and the directness of the service of Angkot in Malang.The analysis of the relationship between the trip lengths and the characteristic of Angkot users revealed thatmost of people in Malang use Angkot in a short trip travel.The comparison result between the demand and frequency of Angkot confirmed that 3 street segment of the totalof 277 segmentsin Malang,JalanSoekarnoHatta”, “Jalan Mt. Haryono”, and “JalanKyaiTamin”,have a mismatch between demand and frequency of Angkot.Furthermore, the analysis of comparison between the travel demand and the directness of theAngkot service shows thatand need to rearrange the Angkotroute system to improve the Angkot performance system in Malang.Finally, as the result of comparing the travel demand with directness service of Angkot in Malang, it was found that there are 6 zones which are not served by Angkot. Therefore, in order to improveAngkot performance system in Malang, it is necessary to rescheduling of Angkot route system.
