Abstract

English Abstract

The current Internet technology bring a good impact on people s lives, Networking with the security of the network technology needs to be improved because this time the distance is not an obstacle in achieving the goals and information. The present study because of the needs of the application system that can detect an attack or intrusion by irresponsible people or machine . This research is used as a tool for decision granting network admin to monitor the condition of the network and the data packets passing. Data packets are identified and not in accordance with the rules of the network security will be recorded in the database and subsequently reported to the network admin. The objective of this research are (1) to designing step by step way to avoid network intrussion, (2) to designing knowledge base, rule based and inference engine in application to detect intrusion, (3) to building web base application that can help to detect intrusion, (4) to testing the software. This study requires validation by experts in network and software experts, validation is performed to obtain results in accordance with the purpose of research. The results of this study is the detection of the types of perceived suspicious package and the data stored in the database to be informed to the admin.
