Abstract
Sekolah merupakan tempat untuk menimba ilmu, salah satunya adalah sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) dimana SMK merupakan pendidikan pada jenjang pendidikan menengah yang mengutamakan pengembangan kemampuan siswa untuk melaksanakan jenis pekerjaan tertentu. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan jurusan kriya memiliki kinerja fungsi ruang, karakteristik ruang dan kebutuhan aktivitas terhadap ruang yang berbeda-beda, khususnya ruang praktik untuk kriya kayu. Seiring berjalannya waktu, berkembangnya teknologi, peminat terhadap jurusan baru juga kebutuhan akan fasilitas sekolah yang bertambah, menimbulkan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan perlu meningkatkan kapasitas fasilitas untuk mewadahi penambahan kebutuhan pengguna. Seperti halnya SMK Negeri 5 Malang, pada awalnya merupakan SMK yang berfokus pada jurusan-jurusan kriya. Salah satu contoh perubahan ruang pada SMK Negeri 5 adalah pada ruang praktik kriya kayu, dimana luasan ruang praktik tersebut diperkecil dan dialihfungsikan menjadi ruang-ruang teori. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk untuk mencari tahu bagaimana kesesuaian dimensi ruang praktik kriya kayu SMK Negeri 5 terhadap tuntutan dan karakteristik kerja. Metode yang digunakan adalah evaluasi purna huni dengan membandingkan data eksisting dengan standar yang dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Adapun aspek yang dianalisis secara kualitatif yaitu pada aspek pencahayaan. Hasil dari evaluasi purna huni untuk mengetahui sejauh mana ruang praktik kriya kayu dapat berfungsi sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna sekaligus mencari solusi terkait masalah dimensi ruang praktik.
English Abstract
School is a place to gain knowledge, one of which is Vocational High School (SMK). Vocational High School is a school that prioritizes the development of students' ability to perform certain types of work. Departement of craft in Vocational High School has the performance of spatial function, the characteristics of the work space and the activity needs on different work spaces, especially the work space for wooden crafts. Over time, the development of technology, the enthusiasts for new departement and the need for increased school facilities, cause the Vocational High School needs to increase the capacity of facilities to accommodate the addition of user needs. Such as SMK Negeri 5 Malang, initially is a Vocational High School that focused on the departement of craft. For example of a change in work space at SMK Negeri 5 Malang is in the wooden crafts work space, where the dimention of the work space is minimized and converted into theoretical spaces. Therefore, this research is to find out how does the compatibility of the workshop room dimension to the demands and wood craft work’s characteristics. The method used is the post occupation evaluation by comparing the existing data with the standards performed quantitatively. The aspect that is analyzed qualitatively is lighting aspect. The results of the post occupation evaluation is to determine the dimention of wooden craft work space can be function properly to fulfill the needs of users and solve the problems related to the dimensions of the workshop room.
