Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potensi atraksi wisata sepanjang Sungai Pekalen Atas, menyusun produk wisata potensial yang dapat diangkat pada area sepanjang Sungai Pekalen Atas, menyusun konsep produk wisata yang akan dikembangkan di sepanjang Sungai Pekalen Atas, dan mengevaluasi preferensi wisatawan terhadap objek dan daya tarik ekowisata sepanjang Sungai Pekalen Atas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2016 sampai dengan Maret 2017 di Sungai Pekalen Atas, Desa Ranu Gedang, Kecamatan Tiris, Kabupaten Probolinggo. Dilakukan observasi dan dibuat peta koridor dan tata guna lahan sekitar Sungai Pekalen. Didata potensi objek, dilakukan uji preferensi, dan dilakukan FGD (Focus Group Discussion) dengan stakeholders. Didapatkan Peta Koridor Sungai Pekalen Atas yang terdiri dari 26 jeram, tiga Air Terjun, tiga Kebun dan 11 fauna. Terdapat sembilan potensi objek yang dibagi menjadi rafting dan non-rafting. Konsep produk yang disarankan dari hasil FGD (Focus Group Discussion) yaitu Ekowisata dengan membagi ke dalam tiga level produk yaitu low level product, medium level product dan hard level product. Persepsi wisatawan terhadap sembilan produk menunjukkan bahwa wisatawan cenderung mengatakan “menarik”, sehingga objek-objek tersebut perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan mengikuti prinsip-prinsip pemanfaatan sumber daya alam berkelanjutan.
English Abstract
The aim of this research are to describe potential of tourist attraction along the Pekalen Atas River, evaluate develop the potential tourism product who can be raised in the Pekalen Atas river area, evaluate develop the concept of tourism products that will be developed along the Pekalen Atas River, and evaluate the preferences of tourists about ecotourism objects and attractions along the Pekalen Atas River. This study has been held in October 2016 until March 2017 in Pekalen Atas River, Ranu Gedang Village, Tiris Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. This research is done by observation, create a map of the river corridor and observe tourist object potential along the Pekalen Atas River. Data about the potential objects was collected and tourist preference are tested. The development of tourist product was done through FGD (Focus Group Discussion) with stakeholders. The result of this study are Pekalen Atas River’s Corridor Map consisting of 26 rapids, three waterfall, three gardens, three caves and 11 animals. There are nine potential of the object which is divided into rafting and non-rafting. The concept of the products that suggested from the result of FGD (Focus Group Discussion) is Ecotourism product by dividing into three levels, which is low level product, medium level product and hard level product. The tourist’s perceptions shows that the visitors are tend to choose “interest” indicator on nine products that have been suggested, so is need to be further developed by following the principles of sustainable natural resource development.
