Abstract
Penelitian tentang pengaruh pH dan temperatur terhadap kinerja elektroda pasta karbon (EPK) timbal(II) berbasis S-Methyl N-(Methylcarbamoyloxy) Thioacetimidate atau methomyl telah dipelajari. EPK timbal(II) berbasis methomyl dibuat dari pasta campuran karbon aktif sebagai konduktor, dioktilftalat (DOP) sebagai pemlastis, dan bahan aktif methomyl dengan perbandingan (% b/b) 50 : 40 : 10. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh pH dan temperatur terhadap kinerja elektroda pasta karbon berbasis Methomyl sehingga dapat dihasilkan EPK dengan respon potensial yang bersifat Nernstian. Penentuan pengaruh pH dilakukan dengan mengukur potensial larutan Pb(NO3)2 dengan rentang konsentrasi linier 1x10-1 hingga 1x10-5 M pada pH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (menggunakan buffer asetat) dan pH 8 (menggunakan NaOH). Pengaruh temperatur dipelajari dengan mengukur potensial larutan Pb(NO3)2 dengan rentang konsentrasi linier 1x10-1 hingga 1x10-5 M pada temperatur 20, 30, 40, 50, dan 60 oC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa EPK timbal(II) berbasis Methomyl dapat digunakan secara optimum dan bersifat Nernstian pada rentang pH 4 - 7 dan temperatur 20 – 50 oC.
English Abstract
The study about effect of pH and temperature on the performance of lead (II) carbon paste electrode (CPE) based on S-Methyl N-(Methylcarbamoyloxy) Thioacetimidate or mwthomyl has been studied. The lead(II) CPE was made of pasta mixture of activated carbon as a conductor, dioktilftalat (DOP) as a plasticizer, and the active ingredient methomyl with a ratio of 5: 4: 1. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of pH and temperature to the performance of lead(II) carbon paste electrode based on methomyl so that it can be produced CPE with potential responses that are Nernstian. Determination of the effect of pH was done by measuring the potential of the solution Pb(NO3)2 under linear concentration range from 1x10-1 to 1x10-5 M at pH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (using acetate buffer) and pH 8 (using NaOH). Influence of temperature was studied by measuring the potential of the Pb(NO3)2 solution under linear concentration range from 1x10-1 to 1x10-5 M at 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 ° C. The results showed that the lead (II) CPE can be used optimally and Nernstian in the range of pH 4-7 and temperature range of 20-50 °C.
