Abstract

Fenol mengalami disosiasi dalam air menjadi ion hidronium dan anion fenoksida. Penentuan fenol dalam air menggunakan sensor fenol dilakukan dalam bentuk basa konjugatnya yaitu fenoksida. Keberadaan spesi fenoksida dalam air dipengaruhi pH sehingga pada penelitian ini dipelajari pengaruh pH terhadap kinerja sensor fenol. Sensor fenol dibuat dari Screen Printed Carbon Electrode (SPCE) yang dilapisi membran 1,5% (b/v) ionofor CTAPh (Cetyltrimethylammonium Phenoxide) dalam kitosan. Pengaruh pH yang dipelajari yaitu 9, 10, 11 dan 12. Hasil dari peneltian ini adalah kinerja sensor fenol optimum pada pH 11 dengan menghasilkan bilangan Nernst sebesar 58,01 mV/dekade, kisaran konsentrasi 10-5 M sampai 10-8 M dan waktu respon 190 detik.

English Abstract

Phenol has occurred dissociation in the water become hydronium and phenoxide. Determining phenol in the water uses phenol sensor performed on its conjugate base or phenoxide. The existence phenoxide in the water is affected by pH so in this research studied effect of pH to the performance phenol sensor. Phenol sensor is made from Screen Printed Carbon Electrode (SPCE) that coated membrane 1,5% (b/v) ionophore CTAPh (Cetyltrimethylammonium Phenoxide) into chitosan. Affecting pH that studied were 9, 10, 11 and 12. As a result sensor phenol was optimum performance at pH 11 with the Nernst factor was 58,01 mV/decade, range concentration was 10-5 M until 10-8 M and response time was 190 second.
