Abstract
Penelitian tentang karakterisasi elektroda pasta karbon (EPK) telah dilakukan untuk analisis timbal(II) berbasis S-methyl N- (methylcarbamoyloxy)thioacetimidate atau disebut methomyl. Badan elektroda diisi dengan pasta karbon yang terbuat dari methomyl sebagai ionofor, dioktilftalat (DOP) sebagai pemlastis dan karbon aktif sebagai konduktor dengan perbandingan komposisi karbon aktif : DOP : methomyl (0,5: 0,4: 0,1 %b/b) dan waktu perendaman optimum 20 menit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakter dasar EPK timbal(II) berbasis methomyl yang meliputi faktor Nernst, rentang konsentrasi linier, batas deteksi, waktu respon dan usia pakai yang bersifat Nernstian. Pengukuran respon potensial dilakukan pada larutan Pb(NO3)2 dengan konsentrasi 1x10-8 – 1x10-1 M. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan EPK timbal(II) berbasis methomyl memiliki harga faktor Nernst sebesar 29,367 mV/dekade konsentrasi, rentang konsentrasi linier yaitu pada larutan Pb(NO3)2 1x10-5 – 1x10- 1 M, limit deteksi konsentrasi terendah sebesar 9,963 x 10-6 M atau setara dengan 2,062 ppm timbal, waktu respon 40 detik dan usia pemakaian selama 63 hari.
English Abstract
A research for characterization of Lead(II) carbon paste electrodes (CPE) has been investigated based on S-methyl N- (methylcarbamoyloxy)thioacetimidate called methomyl. The electrode was contructed using corbon paste containing methomyl as ionophores, dioktilftalat (DOP) as a plasticizer and activated carbon as a conductor with a composition ratio of activated carbon : DOP : methomyl (0,5: 0,4: 0,1 % w/w) and the optimum soaking time of 20 minutes. The aim of research to study the characterization of the performance of lead(II) CPE based on methomyl including Nernst factor, linear concentration range, detection limit, response time and life time that was Nernstian. The measurements of potential responses performed in a solution of Pb(NO3)2 concentration 1x10-8 – 1x10-1 M. The results showed that the lead(II) CPE based on methomyl performed Nernstian were character with Nernst factor of 29.367 mV/decade concentration, linear concentration range in solution of Pb(NO3)2 from 1x10-5 – 1x10-1 M, detection limit of 9,963 x 10-6 M or 2,062 ppm lead, response time of 40 seconds and life time for 63 days.
