Abstract
Pada penelitian ini, telah dilakukan metode pemisahan fosfat menggunakan Polymer Inclusion Membrane (PIM). PIM terbuat dari polimer dasar (PVC), ekstraktan (Aliquat-336), dan plasticizer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh jenis dan konsentrasi plasticizer terhadap transport fosfat melalui PIM. Jenis plasticizer yang digunakan adalah Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) dan 1-Dekanol dengan konsentrasi yang sama yaitu 11% (w/w). Plasticizer yang memberikan hasil optimum kemudian divariasi konsentrasi yaitu 5% (w/w), 11% (w/w), 15% (w/w), dan 20% (w/w). Ion fosfat pada fase umpan ditransport ke fase penerima melalui PIM. Transport dilakukan pada sel difusi selama 180 menit dengan pengambilan cuplikan setiap 30 menit. Larutan cuplikan dianalisis secara spektrofotometri sinar tampak pada panjang gelombang 690 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis plasticizer DOP memberikan hasiloptimum yaitu dengan nilai konstanta permeabilitas sebesar 9,5x10-4 ml/min.cm2 dan efisiensi transport ion fosfat sebesar 67,04%. Pada variasi konsentrasi, DOP dengan konsentrasi 11% (w/w) memberikan hasil optimum yaitu dengan nilai konstanta permeabilitas sebesar 9,5x10-4 ml/min.cm2 dan efisiensi transport ion fosfat sebesar 67,04%.
English Abstract
In this research, the method of separating phosphate has been performed by using PIM. PIM was prepared from base polymer (PVC), carrier (Aliquat-336), and plasticizer. The purpose of this research was to study the influence of nature and concentration of plasticizer to phosphate transport through PIM. Plasticizer that used were Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and 1-Decanol with the same concentration that was 11% (w/w). Plasticizer which gave the optimum results then the concentration was varied 5% (w/w), 11% (w/w), 15% (w/w), and 20% (w/w). Phosphate ions in the feed phase was transported to the receiving phase through PIM. The transport has performed in the diffusion cell for 180 minutes with sampling every 30 minutes. The sample was analyzed by visible spectrophotometry at wavelength 690 nm. The results showed that the plasticizer DOP gave optimum results which the permeability constant was 9,5x10-4 ml/min.cm2 and transport efficiency of phosphate was 67,04%. In variation of concentration, the concentration of DOP 11% (w/w) gave optimum results which the permeability constant was9,5x10-4 ml/min.cm2 and transport efficiency of phosphate was 67,04%.
