Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang degradasi methylene blue menggunakan fotokatalis ZnO-Zeolit dengan penambahan hidrogen peroksida. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan hidrogen peroksida (H2O2), pengaruh perbandingan massa fotokatalis yang digunakan terhadap konstanta laju degradasi zat warna methylene blue beserta variasi lama penyinaran terhadap persentase degradasi methylene blue. Fotokatalis ZnO-Zeolit sebanyak 25 mg ditambahkan larutan methylene blue 20 mg/L dengan hidrogen peroksida yang ditambahkan sebanyak 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4 dan 0,5 mL kemudian disinari dengan lampu UV selama 10, 20, 30, 40 dan 50 menit. Perbandingan massa dilakukan 5 perbandingan, larutan methylene blue dan fotokatalis ZnO dengan perbandingan 75 mg:25 mL ( 3:1 ), 50 mg:25 mL ( 2 : 1 ), 25 mg:25 mL (1:1), 25 mg:50 mL (1:2) dan 25 mg:75 mL (1:3). Campuran kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor UV dan disinari selama 50 menit. Untuk variasi perbandingan massa dengan perbandingan 25 mg fotokatalis dan 75 ml larutan methylene blue memberikan konstanta laju optimal sebesar 0,009 (menit-1) dan pengaruh penambahan hidrogen peroksida yang paling optimal pada 0,4 mL dengan menghasilkan konstanta laju sebesar 0,013 (menit-1). Variasi lama penyinaran maksimum terjadi pada waktu 50 menit dengan persentase degradasi sebesar 88,49%.
English Abstract
The research about methylene blue degradation using photocatalyst of ZnO-Zeolite with adding hydrogen peroxyde. The aim of this research is determining the effect of adding hydrogen peroxyde, the effect of ratio photocatalyst mass that use for rate constant of degradation of methylene blue dye. ZnO-Zeolite photocatalyst 25 mg added methylene blue 20 mg/L with hydrogen peroxyde that adding 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4 and 0,5 mL and then radiated by UV lamp during 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 minutes. The ratio of mass done by 5 varians, methylene blue solution and ZnO photocatalyst with ratio 75 mg : 25 mL (3:1), 50 mg : 25 mL (2 : 1), 25 mg : 25 mL (1:1), 25mg : 50 mL (1:2) and 25 mg : 75 mL (1:3). Then, mixture of compund inserted to UV reactor and radiated during 50 minutes. The ratio of variation mass with 25 mg photocatalyst and 75 mL methylene blue solution give optimum rate constant is 0,009 (minutes-1) and the effect of adding hydrogen peroxyde which optimum on 0,4 mL with rate constant 0,013 per minutes. Variaties of maximum irradion time occurred by 50 minutes with degradation persentage is 88,49%.
