Abstract
Pemilihan jurusan siswa di SMA saat ini sering kali menjadi masalah dikarenakan kurang sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa dan pada akhirnya menyebabkan kurang optimalnya hasil belajar yang didapatkan siswa tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, sebelum dilakukan penjurusan siswa faktor lain perlu dipertimbangkan dalam pemilihan jurusan seperti hasil dari nilai tes yang telah diberikan dari sekolah serta minat siswa sebelumnya. Pihak sekolah juga perlu menerapkan standar nilai agar dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam memutuskan apakah siswa tersebut sudah sesuai masuk pada jurusan yang diinginkan. Pada pemilihan jurusan di SMA Negeri 5 Malang terdapat 3 jurusan yang dapat dipilih oleh siswa yaitu jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, dan jurusan Bahasa. Model regresi logistik multinomial dapat digunakan untuk model dimana peubah prediktornya merupakan himpunan diskrit, dua atau lebih. Model regresi logistik multinomial efektif digunakan pada peubah dependen yang terdiri atas banyak kategori serta mempunyai kemampuan baik untuk menaksir parameter pada peubah prediktor baik yang bersifat kontinyu maupun kategori. Penerapan regresi logistik multinomial dalam disiplin ilmu pendidikan dengan mengangkat masalah mengenai klasifikasi pemilihan jurusan siswa berdasarkan nilai ketuntasan dan minat siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Malang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh pada pemilihan jurusan serta ketepatan klasifikasi yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan metode regresi logistik multinomial. Data pada penelitian ini terdiri dari peubah respon bertipe kategori yaitu jurusan IPA,IPS, dan Bahasa dan peubah peubah prediktor bertipe kategori yaitu nilai ketuntasan IPA,IPS dan Bahasa serta minat siswa. Hasil pengujian didapatkan peubah ketuntasan IPA dan Minat siswa merupakan peubah yang berpengaruh dalam pemilihan jurusan dan didapatkan ketepatan klasifikasi untuk jurusan IPA sebesar 100 persen, IPS sebesar 93,1 persen dan Bahasa sebesar 11,1 persen.
English Abstract
The selection of consentration for student high school is even become a problem because they are not appropriate with their capability and it’s become unoptimality of the result of study. So, before doing the choosing of consentration, the other factor need to be concidered in choosing of consentration looked from the value of test in the school selection program. The Manager of school need to apply the standard minimum in every consentration. It’s needing to help the school selecting the students are competible or not if they enter to the consentration they want. In the selection of consentration program SMA Negeri 5 Malang there are 3 consentration that can be choosen by students. They are Science, Social, and Sastra. The model of multinomial logistic regression can be used for model where the predictor change is a diskrit set become two or more. This model is efective to used at ependen change that. There are many category and has a good skill which is continue and category. The applying of multinomial logistic regression in the science education with solve the problem of choosing clasification of consentration base on the value test of SMA Negeri 5 Malang.This research is purpose to knowing the factor that influence on consentration choosing and the accurately of clasification of choosing the consentration base on the method of multinomial logistic regression. The data of this research is consist of the response change which category type are science, social, and literature sastra. The result of test is science and the interest of student are two of change that have big influence. The research is also has a result for science that is 100 percent, social is 93,1 percent and literature is 11,1 percent
