Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kualitas air berdasarkan sifat fisiko-kimia air dan indeks kualitas air serta mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas manusia terhadap kualitas fisikokimia air di mata air Sumber Awan dan salurannya, Kecamatan Singosari Kabupaten Malang. Evaluasi kualitas air dilakukan di mata air dan enam lokasi di saluran mata air setelah melewati aktivitas pertanian, MCK dan pemukiman dengan jarak tiap lokasi kurang lebih 200 m. Parameter fisiko-kimia air yang diamati antara lain suhu, konduktivitas, turbiditas, kecepatan arus, debit, pH, DO, TOM, TSS, TDS, alkalinitas, nitrat, ammonium, BOD dan fosfat terlarut. Data hasil monitoring tersebut digunakan untuk melakukan analisis profil kualitas air menggunakan ANOVA, analisis cluster berdasarkan indeks kesamaan Bray-Curtis dan biplot serta beberapa indeks kualitas air meliputi National Sanitation Foundation’s Water Quality Index (NSF-WQI), Indeks O’Connor, dan Prati’s Implicit Index of Pollution. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas manusia yang terjadi di saluran Sumber Awan yaitu pertanian, pemukiman dan MCK sudah memengaruhi kualitas air di perairan tersebut terlihat dari terjadinya penurunan kualitas air dari hulu ke hilir. Nilai pH, ammonium, KMnO4, TSS dan nitrat masih memenuhi baku mutu untuk kelas I, DO kelas II, BOD kelas II-IV, berdasarkan PP No.82 tahun 2001. Kualitas air tersebut berdasarkan penghitungan NSFWQI dimasukkan dalam kategori baik (stasiun 3 dan 5) dan kategori sedang untuk stasiun 1,2,4,6,7. Stasiun 1-6, berdasarkan indeks Prati pencemaran dapat diterima, sedangkan stasiun 7 tercemar ringan, sedangkan berdasarkan Indeks O’Connor kualitas air di mata air Sumber Awan dan salurannya termasuk kategori sedang.

English Abstract

The aims of this research to determine the profile of water quality based on physico-chemical properties of water and water quality indices and to determine the influence of various human activities towards water quality in the Sumber Awan Spring and its Channel, Singosari Malang. Water quality evaluation is done in the spring and six locations of the spring channel after passing through agricultural activities, public toilets and human settlements with the distance of each location approximately 200 m. Physico-chemical parameters of water were observed include temperature, conductivity, turbidity, flow velocity, discharge, pH, DO, TOM, TSS, TDS, alkalinity, nitrate, ammonium, BOD and orthophosphate. The monitoring data was used to perform the analysis of water quality profiles using ANOVA, cluster analysis based on Bray-Curtis similarity index and biplot as well as several water quality indices include National Sanitation Foundations Water Quality Index (NSF-WQI), OConnor Index, and Pratis implicit Index of Pollution. The results showed that human activities in the channel of Sumber Awan such as agriculture, human settlements and public toilets have influenced the water quality in this spring channel. It can be seen from the decreasing of water quality from upstream to downstream. Values of pH, ammonium, KMnO4, TSS and nitrate fulfilled the quality standards for class I, DO for class II, BOD for class II-IV, based on Government Regulation No. 82/2001. Based on NSF - WQI calculations the water quality was categorized in good (station 3 and 5) and medium category for station 1, 2, 4, 6, 7. Stations 1-6, based on the Pratis index was acceptable, but station 7 was slightly polluted. Based on OConnor index, water quality in the springs of Sumber Awan and the channels is medium category.
