Abstract
Pada skripsi ini dibahas metode Orde-6 yang merupakan pengembangan metode Newton-Raphson. Metode Orde-6 ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan akar persamaan nonlinear. Pada metode Orde-6, langkah pertama dan kedua merupakan metode Basu sebagai prediktor dan langkah ketiga adalah penurunan deret Taylor sebagai korektornya. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh bahwa metode Orde-6 lebih efisien dibandingkan metode Newton-Raphson dan metode Basu.
English Abstract
This study project presents Sixth-order method for solving nonlinear equations that developed from Newton-Raphson method. This Sixth-order method is used to solve nonlinear equations to get its root. In Sixth-order method, the first and the second step are Basu method as predictor and the last step is obtained from Taylor expansion as corrector. Based on the result of numerical solution, the Sixth-order method is more efficient than Newton-Raphson and Basu method.
