Abstract

Panel motor control center (MCC) merupakan peralatan yang sangat sering dijumpai pada suatu industri atau instalasi yang menggunakan motor listrik sebagai alat bantu dalam melaksanakan kegiatan dalam industri atau instalasi tersebut. Motor listrik mempunyai komponen kontrol dan proteksi yang apabila dipasang bersama dengan motor listrik di lapangan, komponen tersebut akan sangat rentan mengalami ganguan seperti korosi, vibrasi dan gangguan akibat temperatur lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi rancangan panel MCC untuk Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) pada PLTMG Duri-Riau sesuai dengan standar International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Dari hasil penelitian ini, rancangan panel MCC sebelumnya mendapatkan evaluasi pada pemilihan rating arus pemutus utama yang di bawah nilai arus nominal pada beban penuh. Pada diagram pengawatan sebelumnya masih menggunakan 2 standar yang berbeda yaitu standar International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) dan National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), sehingga disetarakan menggunakan standar IEC. Rangkaian kontrol yang telah dievaluasi, akan disimulasikan menggunakan software CX Programmer untuk mengetahui rangkaian kontrol berfungsi dengan baik.

English Abstract

The motor control center (MCC) panel is an equipment that is very often found in an industry or installation that uses electric motors as a tool in carrying out activities in the industry or installation. Electric motors have control and protection components which, when installed together with an electric motor in the field, will be particularly susceptible to disturbances such as corrosion, vibration and disturbance due to environmental temperature. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the design of MCC panels for Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) at PLTMG Duri-Riau in accordance with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. From the results of this study, the previous MCC panel design received an evaluation on the selection of the main breaker current rating below the nominal current value at full load. In the previous wiring diagram still use two different standards namely the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard, therefore it is equalized using IEC standards. In the control diagram there are some automatic control functions that do not fit with the piping and instrumentation diagram. The control circuit that has been evaluated, will be simulated using CX Programmer software to know the control circuit is working properly.
