Abstract

Populasi penduduk telah meningkat, menyebabkan konsumsi air juga meningkat. Hal ini membuat produksi air limbah domestik juga meningkat dan memerlukan upaya pengolahan. Pengolahan ini penting untuk mencegah terjadinya pencemaran atau gangguan kesehatan. Namun karena ketersediaan lahan kecil, terciptalah teknologi pengolahan skala rumah tangga dan salah satunya yaitu pengolahan air limbah dometik berbasis biofilm mikroalga skala rumah tangga. Teknologi pengolahan baru ini memerlukan pengembangan, salah satu caranya dengan menambahkan nutrisi pada mikroorganisme yang menghilangkan polutan. Jika tingkat kenyamanan mikroorganisme meningkat dan kinerja pengolahan dapat ditingkatkan juga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan 2 perlakuan yaitu dengan dan tanpa penambahan NPK yang masing-masing dilakukan dalam 3 ulangan. Sampling dilakukan pada waktu pengolahan 0 jam, 12 jam dan 24 jam untuk mengetahui pH, TSS, COD dan fosfat. Penelitian menggunakan reaktor kaca (kolom sedimentasi, biofilm, mikroalga, penyaringan, storage) dan rumah mikroalga. Rata-rata % removal TSS dan COD pada pengolahan tanpa penambahan NPK, berturut-turut yaitu 68,36%, 60,82% dan fosfat mengalami kenaikan. Sedangkan rata-rata % removal TSS, COD dan fosfat pada pengolahan dengan penambahan NPK berturut-turut yaitu 64,73%, 47,24% dan 34,94%. Setelah air limbah domestik diolah, kualitas air limbah dibandingkan dengan baku mutu air kelas III dan dihasilkan bahwa air limbah domestik setelah diolah sesuai dengan baku mutu air kelas III.

English Abstract

Population of people has increased, it caused consumption of water also increased. This makes production of domestic wastewater also increase and need effort to treat.. The treatment is important to prevent contamination and health disturbance, but because of the availability of land is minor, established new treatment with household scale, and one of the treatments is domestic wastewater treatment based-biofilm microalgae household scale. This new treatment needs a development and one way to reach that is with adding nutrition to microorganism who remove pollutant. If contentment of microorganism increase, the performance of treatment will increases too. This research use experimental method with 2 treatment, without and with adding NPK, which each treatment did in 3 repetition. The sampling time is 0 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours after treatment. This sampling important to do to know the value of pH, TSS, COD and phosphat. This research used glass reactor (column of sedimentation, biofilm, microalgae, filtration and storage) dan green roof microalgae. Average of % removal of TSS and COD on treatment without adding NPK is 68,36%, 60,82%, and phosphat was increase. Average of % removal of TSS, COD and phosphat on treatment with adding NPK is 64,73%, 47,24% dan 34,94%. After domestic wastewater was treated, the quality of domestic wastewater compare with standart of water class III, and the quality of domestic wastewater appropriate with that standart.
