Abstract

Data konsumsi daging sapi nasional tahun 2015 sebesar 639.857,57 ton dari 523.927 ton daging yang dihasilkan ,sehingga masih kekurangan 115.930,57 ton. Perlu adanya peningkatan produktivitas dengan suplementasi probiotik.Probiotik adalah mikroorganisme yang mampu meningkatkan populasi rumen dan mikroflora usus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui performansi mikroflora dan aplikasinya terhadap pertumbuhan sapi Brahman Cross serta analisis kelayakan finansial berbagai jenis probiotik komersial. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu perhitungan jumlah koloni dengan metode Total Plate Count pada probiotik komersial (MKA2, Raja Sapi, dan Zenith). Kemudian dilakukan pengaplikasian ketiga probiotik yang dibandingkan dengan sampel kontrol dan hasilnya diuji uji ANOVA taraf nyata α=0,05. Selanjutnya dianalisis kelayakan finansial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah mikroba terbanyak ada pada Zenith yaitu 2,839 x 106 CFU/mL. Hasil pertambahan bobot harian pada sapi Brahman Cross dengan dosis 10 ml/ekor/sapi pada probiotik MKA2 sebesar 1,61 kg/hari,probiotik Super Cow sebesar 1,01 kg/hari,dan probiotik Zenith sebesar 1,19 kg/hari. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan (P>0,05) antara pemberian probiotik terhadap pertambahan bobot sapi Brahman Cross. Secara ekonomi, pemberian probiotik pada penggemukan sapi Brahman Cross memberikan pertambahan nilai yang berbeda-beda dan layak di ketiga probiotik komersial (MKA2, Super cow, dan Zenith).

English Abstract

Data of national beef cattle population in 2015 about 639.857,57 from 523.927 tons beef, so that need 115.930,57 tons. It is necessary to increase productivity with probiotic supplementation. Probiotics is dietary supplements of microorganisms that give benefit host animals by improving intestinal microbial balance. The purposed of the study was to identify microflora’s performances and application to Increasing Brahman Cross cow’s weight and financial feasibility analysis of several commercial probiotics. The method used in this research is calculating the colonies with Total Plate Count method on several commercial probiotics (MKA2, Raja Sapi, and Zenith). The three probiotics that are compared, are applicated with the control sample and the result was tested by ANOVA test of the real level α = 0,05. Then the three probiotics will be analyzed financial feasibility. The results showed that the largest number of microbes found in Zenith with 2,839 x 106 CFU / mL. The result of daily weight gain on Brahman Cross cow with the dose of 10 ml/head/cow probiotic on probiotic MKA 2 of 1.61 kg /day, Super Cow probiotics of 1.01 kg/day, and Zenith probiotics of 1.19 kg/day. Based on the results of anova test that there is no significant effect (P> 0.05) between probiotics with the increase of Brahman Cross cow’s weight. Economically, giving probiotics to Brahman Cross cow has different add value and feasible in the three commercial probiotics (MKA2, Super cow, and Zenith).
