Abstract

Jati (Tectona grandis Linn. f) salah satu komoditas kayu keras yang tersebar luas di Indonesia khususnya di Jawa.. Pemanfaatan jati selain diambil kayunya dapat diambil daun jati yang dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna alami yang dapat diaplikasikan pada kain mori. Antosianin merupakan kandungan dari daun jati muda yang menghasilkan warna merah muda atau pink. Fiksasi adalah memperkuat warna dan merubah zat warna alam sesuai dengan jenis logam yang mengikatnya serta untuk mengunci zat warna yang telah masuk kedalam serat. Jenis fiksasi menggunakan bahan kapur tohor dan tawas. Rancangan Acak Tersarang (RAT) dengan menggunakan dua faktor. Faktor pertama yang digunakan adalah jenis bahan fiksasi (A) yang terdiri dari 2 level yaitu kapur tohor, dan tawas, untuk faktor kedua yang digunakan adalah lama waktu fiksasi (B) yang terdiri dari 3 level yaitu 5 menit, 15 menit dan 25 menit. Analisa penelitian ini meliputi uji intensitas warna L*, a* dan b dengan ANOVA dilanjut uji BNT serta uji ketahanan warna yang dianalisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian hasil analisis fiksator tawas dari pewarna alami daun jati menunjukkan perlakuan terbaik dengan lama fiksasi 15 menit diperoleh nilai a* 17,73, nilai b* 7,70, nilai L* 46, gosokan kering 4 (baik) dan gosokan basah 2 (kurang), perubahan warna 1-2 (jelek) dan skala penodaan 3 (cukup). Hasil dari perlakuan terbaik fiksator kapur tohor dengan lama fiksasi 5 menit diperoleh nilai a* 14,03, nilai b* 8,10, nilai L* 47,4, gosokan kering 3-4 (cukup baik) , gosokan basah 2 (kurang), perubahan warna 1-2 (jelek), skala penodaan 3 (cukup).

English Abstract

Teak (Tectona grandis Linn. F) one commodity hardwood widespread in Indonesia, especially in Java. Utilization teak timber extraction can be taken in addition to teak leaves can be used as a natural dye that can be applied to the mori woof. Anthocyanin are the content of the leaves of young teak that produces pink. Natural dyeing in the smooth teak leaves on the mori woof needs to be done fixation on the fabric. Fixation is to strengthen and change the color of natural dyes in accordance with the type of metal that is tied as well to lock the dyes which have been entered into the fiber. Type fixation using materials calcium oxide and alum. Nested Randomized Design (RAT) using two factors. The first factor to be used is a kind of fixation (A), which consists of two levels, namely calcium oxide and alum, for the second factor that is used is a long time of fixation (B), which consists of three levels, namely 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 25 minutes. Analysis of the study testing the color intensity L *, a * and b with ANOVA and LSD continued endurance test colors were analyzed descriptively. Based on the research results of the analysis of natural dyes alum teak leaves indicate the best treatment with the 15-minute long fixation obtained grades A * 17.73, b * value of 7.70, the value of L * 46, a dry rub 4 (good) and the wet rub 2 ( less), change the color of 1-2 (ugly) and scale desecration 3 (enough). The results of the best treatment calcium oxide with 5 minutes long fixation obtained grades A * 14.03, b * value of 8.10, the value of L * 47.4, dry rubbing 3-4 (pretty good), wet rub 2 (less) , discoloration 1-2 (ugly), scale desecration 3 (enough).
