Abstract

Hiperkolesterolemia ialah keadaan kolesterol dalam darah melebihi batas normal. Angkak dengan penambahan bekatul dipercaya mampu menjadi solusi penurun hiperkolesterolemia, disebabkan adanya lovastatin dari metabolit sekunder Monascus purpureus. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian angkak dengan penambahan bekatul terhadap penurunan profil lipid tikus wistar jantan hiperkolesterolemia yang di uji in vivo. Hasil penelitian pemberian masing-masing jenis angkak setelah 28 hari menunjukkan perlakuan terbaik didapat pada kelompok angkak dengan penambahan bekatul. Kelompok angkak dengan penambahan bekatul memiliki total kolesterol 80,50 mg/dl, trigliserida 46,00 mg/dl, HDL 56,25 mg/dl, dan LDL 15,50 mg/dl. Kelompok angkak memiliki total kolesterol 94,00 mg/dl, trigliserida 63,75 mg/dl, HDL 53,00 mg/dl, dan LDL 19,75 mg/dl. Kelompok angkak pasaran memiliki total kolesterol 83,85 mg/dl, trigliserida 68,00 mg/dl, HDL 51,57 mg/dl, dan LDL 18,50 mg/dl.

English Abstract

Hypercholesterolemic is condition cholesterol in the blood exceeds the normal limit. Red mold rice with adding rice bran is trusted and capable to be solution decreasing hypercholesterolemic, it’s causes by lovastatin from secondary metabolism Monascus purpureus. The aims of this research is to know influence red mold rice with adding rice bran an reduction hypercholesterolemic lipid profile male wistar rats which tests in vivo. The best experiment from giving each type red mold rice after 28 days showing to red mold rice with adding rice bran group. Group red mold rice with adding rice bran have cholesterol total 80,50 mg/dl, triglycerides 46,00 mg/dl, HDL 56,25 mg/dl, and LDL 15,50 mg/dl. Group red mold rice have cholesterol total 94,00 mg/dl, triglycerides 63,75 mg/dl, HDL 53,00 mg/dl, and LDL 19,75 mg/dl. Group red mold rice market have cholesterol total 83,85 mg/dl, triglycerides 68,00 mg/dl, HDL 51,57 mg/dl, and LDL 18,50 mg/dl.
