Abstract
Kertas seni merupakan salah satu hasil kerajinan yang berasal dari hasil proses daur ulang limbah kertas, selain itu juga sering ditambahkan serat tanaman, daun-daunan, dan bahan lain yang terdapat di alam. Bahan lain yang ditambahkan dalam penelitian ini adalah serat pelepah daun nipah. Potensi pengembangan usaha kertas seni dapat dilihat dari peningkatan permintaan kertas seni yang terus meningkat, konsep go green, dan kandungan selulosa pada pelepah daun nipah serta jumlahnya yang berlimpah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan unit usaha produksi kertas seni dari tanaman nipah dilihat dari aspek teknis dan finansial, hal ini karena kertas seni berbahan dasar pulp pelepah daun nipah merupakan sesuatu yang baru. Penelitian lapang mengenai wilayah sumber bahan baku dilaksanakan di wilayah sentra tanaman nipah di Kabupaten Sumenep, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Penelitian skala laboratorium guna mempelajari proses pembuatan kertas seni dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Agrokimia. Proses pengolahan data dilakukan di Laboratorium Komputasi dan Analisis Sistem Jurusan Teknologi Industri Pertanian Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Pelaksanaan penelitian pada bulan Mei-Desember 2013. Analisis teknis yang dilakukan meliputi teknologi yang digunakan, bahan baku dan bahan tambahan, kapasitas produksi, tata letak fasilitas, tenaga kerja, dan kualitas produk kertas seni. Analisis kelayakan finansial yang dilakukan meliputi perhitungan Break Event Point (BEP), Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP), efisiensi usaha (R/C ratio), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) dan Payback Period (PP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produksi kertas seni berbahan dasar pelepah nipah berukuran A5 (148 x 210 x 0,832 mm) dapat dihasilkan sebanyak 360 lembar/hari atau 90.720 lembar/tahun. Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP) kertas seni berbahan dasar pelepah nipah sebesar Rp900,00 dengan harga jual Rp1300,00 per lembar. Break Even Point (BEP) tercapai pada tingkat penjualan sebesar 40.928 lembar atau senilai Rp52.809.452,00. Efisiensi usaha (R/C Ratio) sebesar 1,52. Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar Rp46.939.020,06. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) sebesar 33,4% serta payback period selama 2 tahun 3 bulan 15 hari. Berdasarkan analisis kelayakan yang dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa produksi kertas seni berbahan baku pelepah nipah layak untuk diusahakan
English Abstract
Art paper is one of the crafts that resulted from the process of recycling waste paper, but it is also often added plants fiber, leaves, and other materials found in nature. Nypa leaf stem fiber was added in this study as other materials in art paper. Business development potency of art paper can be seen from the increase in demand for art paper that increase continuously, the go green concept, cellulose content in nypa leaf stem, and it abundant numbers. This study aims to determinate the feasibility of business unit of art paper production from nypa plant seen from the technical and financial aspects, this is because art paper that made from pulp of nypa leaf stem is something new. Field research on the areas of raw material source was implemented in the central region of nypa plants in Sumenep, East Java Province. Laboratory-scale research to learn the process of art paper making was done in Agrochemical Technology Laboratory. Data processing was carried out in the Computational and System Analysis Laboratory Department of Agricultural Industry Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Brawijaya University of Malang. Implementation of research in May-December 2013. Technical analysis was conducted on the technology used, raw materials and additional materials, production capacity, facility layout, labor, and art paper product quality. Financial feasibility analysis was conducted on the calculation of production cost, Break Even Point (BEP), business efficiency (R/C ratio), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). Study result was showed by the production of art paper made from nypa stem A5 size (148 x 210 x 0,832 mm) can be produced as many as 360 sheet/day or 90.720 sheet/year. Production cost of art paper made from nypa stem was Rp900,00 with the selling price Rp1.300,00 per sheet. Break Even Point (BEP) was reached at the level of sales 40.928 sheet or valued at Rp52.809.452,00. Business efficiency (R/C ratio) of 1,52. Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp46.939.020,06. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) was 33,4% and the payback period was reached for 2 years 3 months and 15 days. Based on the feasibility analysis, it can be concluded that the production of art paper made from nypa stem was feasible
