Abstract
Tetraselmis chuii merupakan alga hijau yang pemanfaatannya hanya sebagai makanan ikan dan hewan laut lainnya. Tetraselmis chuii memiliki pigmen klorofil sebesar 1,42% sehingga berpotensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Antioksidan yang ada di dalam klorofil dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas dan mengurangi atau mencegah timbulnya resiko berbagai penyakit degeneratif. Berdasarkan hal ini maka diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang Tetraselmis chuii untuk bahan baku suplemen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan proporsi bahan pengisi terhadap karakteristik tablet suplemen makanan Tetraselmis chuii serta mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas antioksidannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan menggunakan 2 faktor dari 3 level. Faktor 1 yaitu perbedaan jenis bahan pengisi yakni dekstrin, maltodekstrin dan dekstrosa monohidrat. Faktor 2 adalah proporsi bahan pengisi yaitu 1:2, 1:3, 1:4. Data hasil penelitian dianalisa statistik dengan ANOVA, apabila terjadi perbedaan maka dilakukan uji BNT dengan taraf 5%. Pemilihan perlakuan terbaik dengan metode de Garmo. Hasil penelitian dari tablet suplemen makanan Tetraselmis chuii perlakuan perbedaan jenis dan proporsi bahan pengisi berbeda nyata (α=0,05) pada kadar air, daya serap uap air, aktivitas antiosidan, total klorofil, kekerasan tablet, warna (L*, a*). Perlakuan proporsi bahan pengisi berbeda nyata (α=0,05) pada kadar air, daya serap uap air, aktivitas antioksidan, total klorofil, kekerasan tablet, warna (L*, a*, b*). Perlakuan dengan bahan pengisi dekstrin dan proporsi 1:4 (A1B3) merupakan perlakuan terbaik dari parameter fisik dan kimia dengan karakteristik total klorofil 34,01 mg/g, kadar air 3,86%, aktivitas antioksidan 66,98%, daya serap uap air 5,91%, kekerasan tablet 3,23 kg/cm2, warna (L*) 53,6.
English Abstract
Tetraselmis chuii is green algae an utilization is only as a food fish and other marine animals. Tetraselmis chuii have chlorophyll pigments of 1.42%, so the potential as natural antioxidants. Antioxidants are present in chlorophyll can be used as an free radical’s preventive and reduce the risk or prevent the onset of degenerative diseases. Based on this it would require more research on post-harvest utilization of microalgae Tetraselmis chuii to supplement raw materials. The purposes of this study was to determine the influence of the type and proportion of filler to the characteristics Tetraselmis chuii dietary supplement tablets and to determine the effect of antioxidant activity. This study used Randomized Block Design was (RBD) using 2 factors of 3 levels. Factor 1 is that different types of fillers that dextrin, maltodextrin and dextrose monohydrate. Factor 2 is the proportion of filler material is 1:2, 1:3, 1:4. The data were analyzed statistic analyzed by ANOVA, in case of difference it made LSD test with 5% level. Selection of the best treatment used de Garmo’s method. The results of research showed treatment of different types of fillers significantly different (α=0,05) in water content, moisture absorption, antioxidants activity, total chlorophyll, tablets hardness, color (L*, a*). Treatment of proportion fillers significantly different (α=0.05) in water content, moisture absorption, antioxidant activity, total chlorophyll, tablet hardness, color (L*,a*,b*). The results showed that treatment with fillers and the proportion of 1:4 dextrin (A1B3) is the best treatment of the physical and chemical parameters to the characteristic of total chlorophyll 34,01mg/g, water content 3.86%, 66,98% antioxidant activity, power moisture absorption 5.91%, 3.23kg/cm2 tablet hardness, color (L*) 53,6.
