Abstract
Universitas Brawijaya tidak kurang mempunyai 44 unit kegiatan, tetapi dari ke 44 unit kegiatan tersebut masih belumlah mempunyai sarana publikasi yang memadahi khususnya Unit kegiatan Merpati Putih, setelah penulis melakukan survey kepada UKM Merpati Putih Universitas Brawijaya, saat ini UKM Merpati Putih hanya mempunyai blog berdomain gratis serta tampilan yang sangat sederhana dan kurang menarik, serta ada beberapa fitur yang dirasa kurang oleh pengurus dan anggotanya. Hingga saat ini penyebaran brosur, pamflet serta Open House UKM pada rangkaian acara Ospek universitas yang menjadi fokus utama dalam menyebarkan informasi terkait UKM, maka dari itu dibutuhkah suatu sarana lain untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang UKM yang dapat diakses kapan pun dan dimanapun serta gratis ataupun murah, dalam hal ini Website menjadi solusi yang sangat tepat untuk direalisasikan dalam memecahkan persoalan ini. Maka dari itu salah satu metode perancangan yang menawarkan usability terbaik bagi pengguna adalah Users Centered Design (UCD) dipilih sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini. UCD merupakan metode yang sudah diakui efektitivitas serta ke-efisiensi-aanya, sehingga sangat tepat untuk diterapkan dalam merancang website UKM, UCD dengan didukung metode wawancara dan juga Post-Study System Usability Questionnarie (PSSUQ) untuk menggali data menghasilkan nilai usability yang memuaskan. Dari penerapan metode tersebut didapatkan hasil pengujian terhadap calon pengunjung didapatkan tingkat efektivitas dan efesiensi keduanya mendapatkan nilai 100%, serta tingkat kepuasan pengguna adalah 80% dan tingkat usability didapatkan nilai 93,3%. Sedangkan hasil dari penelitian ini yang diujikan kepada calon admin mendapatkan nilai efektivitas serta efisiensinya adalah sebesar 100% dan nilai kepuasan adalah sebesar 90% sedangkan pada pengujian usability dari calon admin adalah sebesar 96,7%.
English Abstract
Brawijaya University has no less than 44 Student Activity Units, but those 44 units still do not have publication facilities that complement, especially the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Merpati Putih. After the researcher conducted a survey to the Student Activity Unit of Merpati Putih of Brawijaya university, currently it only has a blog with a free domain, a very simple and less attractive appearance, and there were some features perceived less by the board and members. Up to now, the distribution of brochures, pamphlets and Open House of the Student Activity Units on a series of events in the orientation period (Ospek) become the main focus in disseminating information related to the Student Activity Units. Therefore, it needs another means to obtain information about the Student Activity Units that can be freely or cheaply accessed anytime and anywhere. In this case, a website became a very appropriate solution to be realized in solving this problem. Therefore, one of the design methods that offer the best usability for users is Users Centered Design (UCD) as the method selected in this research. UCD is an acknowledged method of effectiveness and efficiency, so it is very appropriate to apply in designing websites of Student Activity Unit. UCD supported by interview method and Post-Study System Usability Questionnarie (PSSUQ) to dig the data produces satisfactory usability value. From the application of these methods, the obtained test results on prospective visitors with the level of both effectiveness and efficiency got a value of 100%, the level of user satisfaction got a value of 80%, and usability rate got a value of 93.3%. More over, the results of this study tested to prospective administrators got 100% for the value of effectiveness and efficiency, 90% for the value of satisfaction, and 96.7% for the usability testing of prospective administrators.
