Abstract
Universitas Mataram merupakan salah satu instansi di bidang pendidikan dan layanan internet merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting. UPT PUSTIK Universitas Mataram adalah unit yang bergerak dalam membenahi dan memelihara jaringan dan layanan internet yang ada di Universitas Mataram. Permasalahan utama yang sering dikeluhkan oleh pengguna adalah jaringan yang sering kali tidak dapat digunakan. Gangguan ini menyebabkan terganggunya aktifitas dosen dan mahasiswa, sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis QoS terhadap jaringan internet, agar UPT PUSTIK dapat memberikan kualitas layanan yang lebih baik lagi. Parameter QoS yang diuji adalah throughput, delay, packet loss, dan jitter menggunakan software Axence NetTools. Juga dilakukan analisis penggunaan bandwitdh Universitas menggunakan software monitoring MRTG. Rencana pengukuran parameter QoS dilakukan pada 2 jenis waktu, yaitu pukul 07.30 – 09.30, dan pukul 11.00 – 14.00. Sedangkan penggunaan bandwidth diambil selama 2 Minggu. Hasil pengukuran yang diperoleh adalah parameter throughput sebesar 1,797 Mbps, delay sebesar 130,06ms, packet loss sebesar 10,48%, dan jitter sebesar 104,06ms. Kemudian digunakan standarisasi TIPHON untuk memperoleh nilai indeks QoS Universitas. Didapat nilai rata – rata indeks dari tiap fakultas/unit delay sebesar 3,38 dengan kategori bagus, packet loss sebesar 1,92 dengan kategori jelek, dan jitter sebesar 2,34 kategori sedang. Sehingga total rata – rata untuk seluruh parameter QoS adalah sebesar 2,62 dari nilai maksimum 4 yang tergolong dalam standar kurang memuaskan menggunakan standarisasi TIPHON. Sedangkan puncak penggunaan bandwidth untuk downstream adalah sebesar 170,92Mbps (57%), dan upstream sebesar 14,1 Mbps (4%).
English Abstract
Mataram University is one of the institute in the field of education and Internet service is very important in an educational institution. UPT PUSTIK of Mataram University is a unit that providing and maintaining the network and internet services in the University. The main problem that often complained by the users is the network service that frequently cannot be used. This problem causing distruption the activities of lecturers and students, so the Internet network QoS should be analysis, so that UPT PUSTIK can provide better network quality service. QoS parameters tested are throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter using software Axence NetTools. Also conducted analysis utilization of bandwidth University using MRTG monitoring software. Plans for the measurement of QoS parameters is done with two types of time, at 7:30 to 9:30, and at 11:00 to 14:00, and bandwidth usage is taken for 2 weeks. The measurement results obtained are 1.797 Mbps of throughput, 130,06ms of delay, 10.48% of packet loss, and 104,06ms of jitter. TIPHON standardization used to obtain the index value QoS University. The result of delay with index value 3.38 with good category, packet loss with index value 1.92 with poor category, and jitter with index value 2.34 with medium category. So average index value for the whole QoS parameters was 2.62 from 4 belong to unsatisfactory using TIPHON standardization. While peak bandwidth usage for downstream amounted is 170,92Mbps (57%) and 14.1 Mbps of upstream (4%).
