Abstract

Pada perkembangan jaringan komputer saat ini terdapat sebuah teknologi dimana sistem pengontrol dari arus data dipisahkan dari perangkat kerasnya. Software defined network merupakan teknologi jaringan komputer yang memisahkan antara control plane dan data plane pada switch. Software defined network juga merupakan jaringan komputer yang sangat flexibel karena dikonfigurasikan dan dikendalikan melalui sebuah software terpusat. Cara komunikasi antara perangkat dan controller menggunakan sebuah protokol yang disebut dengan Openflow. Sebagai konsep jaringan yang sangat komplek software defined network menawarkan high availability seperti failover multi controller. Failover merupakan sebuah metode yang memungkinkan suatu sistem tetap berjalan normal meskipun ada komponen yang rusak pada salah satu komponennya. Failover juga dipakai dalam transmisi data sehingga meskipun ada beberapa data yang gagal diterima pesan dapat diterima secara utuh. Jika Failover diterapkan pada jaringan Software Defined Network(SDN), maka failover adalah metode yang membagi tugas pada controller menjadi dua, yaitu primary dan backup. Controller primary dapat bertugas sebagai Controller utama dalam proses dan intruksi terhadap jaringan secara langsung. Sedangkan controller backup adalah duplikasi dari Controller primary namun memiliki status siaga atau StandBy dalam hal proses dan intruksi terhadap jaringan. Melalui Analisi sistem failover multi controller. Sistem failover multi controller akan memberikan nilai rata-rata sinkronisasi switch yang semakin tinggi apabila menggunakan controller yang banyak. Berbeda dengan nilai rata-rata yang diberikan pada saat kondisi failover multi controller. Apabila semakin banyak controller yang digunakan maka semakin menurun waktu yang dihasilkan untuk melakukan sistem failover controller.

English Abstract

In the development of the computer network at this time there is a technology in which the system controller of the data flow is separated from the hardware. Software defined network is a computer network technology that separates the control plane and data plane switch. Software defined network is also a computer network that is very flexible because it was configured and controlled via a centralized software. Way communication between the device and the controller using a protocol called OpenFlow. As the concept is very complex network of software defined network offers high availability multi-controller as failover. failover is a method that allows a system to run normally even though there is a faulty component on one of its components. failover is also used in the transmission of data so that although there are some data that failed to received messages can be received in full. If failover is applied to the network Software Defined Network (SDN), the failover is a method that divides the task on the controller into two, namely primary and backup. Primary controller can be served as the main controller in the process and instructions to the network directly. While the backup controller is the duplication of a primary controller but has idle or standby status in terms of process and instructions to the network. Through the analysis of multi controller failover system. Multi controller failover system will give the average value of the synchronization switch is higher when using a controller that much. Unlike the average value given at the time of multi conroller failover conditions. If more controllers are used, the resulting decreases the time to perform system controller failover.
