Abstract
Perkembangan Teknologi saat ini sangatlah pesat, Hampir di semua bidang kehidupan menerapkan teknologi informasi guna menunjang kegiatannya. Mulai dari bidang pendidikan, pemerintahan, perbankan dan lain sebagainya. Sebagai salah satunya di instansi sekolah khususnya tingkat SMA. Salah satu kendala yang seringkali terjadi pada tingkat SMA yaitu masalah presensi. Masalah tersebut timbul dikarenakan ketidakselarasan antara yang tertulis pada buku presensi dengan kehadiran siswa, serta pengambilan laporan presensi yang masih dilakukan secara manual dan sering terjadi kesalahan di dalam prakteknya. Oleh karena itu dibuat sistem presensi siswa berbasis smart card. Teknologi smart card ini dipilih untuk digunakan karena murah dan dapat diimplementasikan pada sistem atau alat yang relatif murah. Selain itu aplikasi ini juga dapat memberikan laporan secara real time kepada orang tua siswa yang dikirimkan dengan menggunakan sms gateway. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah agar dapat menunjang proses pendidikan, mempermudah proses presensi siswa, mempermudah pengambilan report data presensi serta untuk memberikan laporan secara real time kepada orang tua siswa
English Abstract

One of the obstacles that often occurs at the level of high school attendance problems.
