Abstract

Akustik merupakan salah satu elemen utama dalam merancang sebuah bangunan selain pencahayaan dan penghawaan yang seringkali dikesampingkan pada praktik di lapangan, contohnya pada bangunan Auditorium Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya. Keadaan interior yang dijumpai pada auditorium tersebut menunjukkan minimnya penggunaan material akustik yang sesuai dengan penempatan dan fungsinya. Batasan masalah pada penelitian ini ialah penempatan material akustik pada bidang permukaan interior auditorium. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah analisis kuantitatif. Metode penelitian diawali dengan analisis pantulan bunyi dari sumber bunyi menuju audiens menggunakan konfigurasi pola tempat duduk dari kegiatan wisuda, pelatihan mahasiswa, dan seminar. Kemudian data diperkuat dengan melakukan pengukuran lapangan untuk mengetahui tingkat bising latar belakang atau background noise level dan titik gema. Kontur pengukuran titik gema menunjukkan ada permasalahan pada area belakang dan ketidakmerataan bunyi. Hasil analisis kemudian disimpulkan sehingga muncul rekomendasi berupa modifikasi material dan geometri bidang permukaan interior yang diterapkan melalui eksperimen lapangan dan simulasi dengan Ecotect Analysis 2011.

English Abstract

Aside of lighting and thermal inquiries, acoustic is one of important element when it comes to design a building, although in many cases it is abandoned in the process, for example Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya auditorium. The interior shows that the usage of proper acoustic material, including placement and its function, is neglected. The main focus on this research is acoustic material placement on the interior’s surfaces such as wall and ceiling. The research begins with analyzing sound reflection from sound source towards audience using graduation, seminar, and students training seat configuration. Previous analysis then supported with field measurement in order to find background noise level and echo areas. Graphic noise mapping from echo area measurement shows acoustic problem in the back area of auditorium and uneven sound distribution Both result then concluded so that a recommendation come up such as alternatives on acoustic material and interior surfaces which could supported the acoustic quality inside the auditorium. It is proved by doing field experiment with prototypes and simulation using Ecotect Analysis 2011.
