Abstract

Peningkatanproduktivitasperusahaandalammenghadapiketatnyapersainganusaha dibidangindustridapatdilakukandenganberbagaicara.Salah satunyaadalahdengan melakukanperbaikandanperancangantataletakfasilitas. PT. Petrokimia Kayaku merupakanperusahaanpembuatpestisida, produkhayatidanbahankimiapertanianlainnya. Saatini, di lantaiproduksipestisida II PT. Petrokimia Kayaku memilikirencanauntukperluasandari layout lama ke area yang barudikarenakan di tempat yang lama memilikiluas area yang sempit, sehinggadalamhalinidibutuhkanperancangantataletakfasilitas. Padapenelitianinidilakukananalisisdanperhitunganmengenaitataletakfasilitasdenganmempertimbangkan hasilperhitunganjarakdanbiayamaterial handling.Jarak danbiayamaterial handlingdarilayoutexistingadalah219, 5 meterdanRp202.099,-/hari.Hasilanalisistersebutdigunakansebagaiperbandingandengananalisislayoutusulan. Untuk mendapatkan layout usulan, digunakan perhitungandananalisisdenganmenggunakan metode CORELAP. Metode ini dipilih karena dapat menghasilkan satu layout terbaik dari proses iterasi yang telah dilakukan.Data masukandalammelakukanperhitunganmenggunakanmetode CORELAP adalahActivity Relationship Chart (ARC). Langkahpertamayang dilakukan adalah pembuatan ARC.SelanjutnyadilakukanperhitunganTotal Closeness Rating (TCR) sebagai dasarpengalokasiantataletakusulan. Pengalokasianfasilitasdidapatkandaripenentuanplacement sequencedenganmelihathasildarinilai TCR.Pengalokasianfasilitasdengan nilai TCR tertinggi dandilengkapidengankebutuhanstandaraislemerupakanlayoutusulanhasildarimetode CORELAP. Hasildaripenelitianmenunjukkanbahwaperhitunganmetode CORELAP menghasilkanjarakdanbiayamaterial handling yang lebihkecildarilayoutexisting yaitu165, 2 meterdanRp.130.441,-/hari. Dari perhitunganjarakdanbiayamaterial handlinglayoutexistingdanusulanmakalayoutusulandapatmengefisiensijarakmaterial handlingsebesar24, 74 %danuntukbiayamaterial handlingsebesar35, 46 %. Dengan demikian dapatdisimpulkanbahwahasilperancangantataletak yang dihasilkandenganmetode CORELAP lebihefisiendaripadalayoutexistingsehinggadapatdigunakansebagaibahanpertimbangandalammelakukanpemecahanpermasalahanmengenaitataletakfasilitas produksi pestisida II di PT. Petrokimia Kayaku.

English Abstract

Currently, the facilities design is considered as a strategy in the competitive global marketplace. A poor design causes the increasing costto manufacturing process due to significant amount of resources and results in poor quality, inefficient process, and block the access of material handling system. PT. Petrokimia Kayaku is a manufacturer of petrochemical pesticides, biological products, and other agricultural chemicals. The production pesticide plantII on PT. Petrokimia Kayaku has a lot of facility that work based on the standarized production process. There arefacility problems on the production pesticide plant II. The problems is PT. Petrokimia Kayaku want to expand the areas of pesticide plant II because the areas of this plant is actually narrow and need more areas for running the production activities, and on the pesticides plant II want to analyze the existing layout from the distance and cost of material handling. In this research,the analysis of facility layout is consideredthe results of the distance and cost of material handling. The distance and cost of material handling for existing layout is219,5 meters and Rp. 202.099,-/day. The results of this analysiswas applied as a comparison with the analysis of the proposed layout. CORELAP methodwas performedto calculate and analyzethe proposed layout. This method is chosen because it canbuild the best layout of the iterative process that has been done. Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) was an input in the calculation of CORELAP method. The first step in this method was making ARC. The ARC wasused to calculate Total Closeness Rating (TCR). TCR value generated placement sequence to build proposed facility allocation. The proposed facility allocation was chosen based on the highest TCR value. Furthermore, the chosen facility allocation was equipped with standardized aisle. This proposed layout was the final result of analysis using CORELAP method. The result showed that the calculation of CORELAP method generatedsmallerdistance and cost of material handling than existing layout, in sequence was165,2 meters and Rp. 130.441,-/day. Therefore the eficiency of proposedlayout for the distance and cost of material handling was 24,74% and 35,46%. It can be concluded that the results of the layout design generated by Corelap method was more efficient than the existing layout, so it could be used as consideration in solving facility layout problems of the pesticide production plant II on PT. Petrokimia Kayaku.
