Abstract
Manusia sebagai makhluk sosial pasti memliki kebutuhan akan ruang aktivitas dan interaksi sosial. Ruang publik dengan fungsinya sebagai tempat aktivitas manusia, baik secara individu atau secara kelompok, menjadi sangat penting dan perlu diupayakan pemanfaatannya untuk menyediakan ruang aktivitas dan interaksi sosial. Permukiman dengan kepadatan tinggi dengan karakteristik bangunan di atas air, dapat menyediakan ruang publik dengan kepentingan bersama yang umumnya berada di teras rumah dan jalan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tipologi ruang dan mengkaji dimensi sosial ruang publik yang berada di teras rumah dan jalan dipahami sebagai ruang aktivitas dan interaksi sosial antar manusia sebagai pengguna ruang serta mengetahui pengaruh antara kualitas ruang publik dengan interaksi sosial pada permukiman kepadatan tinggi di blok Kelurahan Selumit Pantai, Kecamatan Tarakan Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Good Public Space Index (GPSI) dengan data yang digunakan berasal dari pengamatan aktivitas dari pagi hingga malam hari dengan fokus pada pengguna ruang dalam memanfaatkan ruang aktivitas. Untuk interaksi sosial pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi spasial dengan menggunakan aplikasi GeoDa dengan mengetahui kedekatan spasial tiap sub blok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh kualitas ruang publik terhadap interaksi sosial dengan kedekatan hubungan spasial dari tiap sub blok penelitian.
English Abstract
Human as social creature definitelyhas a need for space activities and social interaction. Public space with that’s function as a place of human activities, either individually or as a groups, become very important that it is necessary to provide space utilization of pace activities and social interaction. Settlements with a high density which has the characteristics of a building on the water, it can provide a public space with shared interests that are generally located on the terrace of the house and the street. The purpose of this research is to know typology of spaces and reviewing the social dimension of public space in the house and the terrace and the street are understood as a space activities and social interaction between people as users of space as well as find out the influence of the quality of public spaces with social interaction at high density settlements in block Selumit Pantai Sub District, Central Tarakan District. The method used is Good Public Space Index (GPSI) with data taken from observations of activity from morning until night with a focus on user space in utilizing activity space. For social interaction the technique of data collection using questionnaire and analysis of spatial regression using application GeoDa to know the model equations and the spatial proximity of each sub-block. The results showed there is the influence of the quality of the public space of social interaction of the spatial relationship with the proximity of each sub-block of the study.
