Abstract

Synthetic aperture radar adalah teknik pemetaan radar udara untuk menghasilkan peta resolusi tinggi dari daerah sasaran. Dalam melakukan pencitraan menggunakan sensor radar (synthetic aperture radar), terdapat tiga tahap untuk menghasilkan citra tersebut. Tahap pertama adalah parameter desain SAR dimana nilai-nilai parameter dari radar tersebut diperoleh. Tahap berikutnya adalah raw data of point targets generator. Tahap ini merupakan tahap pembangkitan data mentah yang telah didapatkan. Tahap ketiganya adalah SAR image formation. Tahap ini merupakan pembentukan citra dari SAR. Penelitian ini bertujuan mensimulasikan parameter desain SARdimana simulasi tersebut merupakan tahap pertama dalam menghasilkan suatu peta resolusi tinggiserta menganalisis parameter radar terhadap performansi Synthetic Aperture Radar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan Ground Swath Width dan SNR per Pulse dipengaruhi Platform Altitude. Ground Swath Width sebesar 313 kilometer dengan SNR per Pulse sebesar -132 dB dihasilkan pada Altitude 620 km dan 404 km dengan SNR per Pulse -137 dB pada 800 km. Sedangkan parameter Slant Range Resolution dan Ground Resolution dipengaruhi oleh nilai Bandwidth. Slant Range Resolution 7 meter dengan Ground Resolution 27 meter dihasilkan pada Bandwidth 14 MHz dan Slant Range Resolution 0,99 meter dengan Ground Resolution 2 meter dihasilkan pada Bandwidth 150 MHz. Azimuth Resolution dipengaruhi oleh nilai Carrier Frequency. Azimuth Resolution sebesar 3 meter dihasilkan pada Carrier Frequency 1,27 GHz dan 0,44 meter dihasilkan pada Carrier Frequency 9,6 GHz.

English Abstract

Synthetic aperture radar airborne radar mapping was a technique to generate high-resolution maps of the target area . There were three stages to produce the image when radar sensor is used. The first stage was design parameter SAR. The parameters of the radar could be obtained at this first stage. The next stage was raw data of point targets generator . This stage was the stage to generating raw data that have been obtained. The last stage was SAR image formation. This stage was the establishment of the SAR image. This study is made to analyze and simulate the design parameters of the Synthetic Aperture Radar performance in imaging at using radar sensor. The analysis showed that parameter Ground Swath Width and SNR per Pulse affected by Platform Altitude. Ground Swath Width 313 kilometers and SNR per Pulse -132 dB were generated at 620 km Altitude. Whereas 404 km and -137 dB were generated at 800 km. Other parameters were Slant Range Resolution and Ground Resolution that affected by Bandwidth. 7 meters Slant Range Resolution and 27 meters Ground Resolution were generated at 14 MHz Bandwidth. Whereas 0,99 meters and 2 meters were generated at 150 MHz Bandwidth. Azimuth Resolution affected by the Carrier Frequency value. It was generated 3 meters Azimuth Resolution at 1,27 GHz Carrier Frequency and 0,44 meters at 9,6 GHz.
