Abstract
Kota Surabaya adalah Ibukota Provinsi Jawa Timur, yang merupakan kota dengan jumlah penduduk terbesar ke dua di Indonesia setelah kota Jakarta. Pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk ini tidak didukung oleh peningkatan daya tampung kota. Ketersediaan lahan di kota Surabaya semakin menipis maka solusi yang tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perumahan di kota Surabaya, dengan membangun rumah model vertikal atau rumah susun yang diperuntukkan penduduk kota Surabaya yang berpenghasilan rendah. Rumah susun yang akan dibangun terletak di pesisir pantai dekat dengan Tempat Pelelangan Ikan dan mayoritas penghuninya adalah nelayan. Kondisi iklim di Surabaya cenderung panas dengan kelembapan yang cukup tinggi, Oleh karena itu studi ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan konsep tanggap iklim. Rumah susun yang akan dihuni oleh nelayan dengan konsep tanggap iklim sebagai solusi dari masalah iklim dan bau dari hasil pengolahan ikan. Pada perancangan ini dilakukan tahap-tahap analisis sebelum perancangan meliputi studi literatur, studi komparasi, dan observasi lapangan yang selanjutnya datadata tersebut dapat diolah menghasilkan sintesis dan simpulan-simpulan yang kemudian menjadi sebuah konsep umum yang dikembangkan selama proses desain menghasilkan desain skematik, kemudian desain skematik akhir, sesuai dengan metodologi perancangan yang digunakan. Hasil penerapan adalah desain Rumah susun nelayan dengan konsep tanggap iklim di Romokalisari Surabaya yang merupakan integrasi antara parameter hasil studi dan kondisi eksisting setempat. Fokus tanggap iklim adalah desain yang mampu menerapkan konsep tanggap iklim pada tapak dan bangunan melalui orientasi bangunan, bukaan, shading device, material, danvegetasi.
English Abstract
Surabaya is a capital city of East Java, and as a second largest population in Indonesia, Surabaya is after Jakarta. The rapid growth of population in Surabaya does not supported by the capabilities to cover living spaces.The availability of land in the city of Surabaya depleting the right solution to meet housing needs in the city of Surabaya, the vertical model building houses or public housing earmarked Surabaya city residents on low incomes. The public house which will be developed located in the seashore near TPI and most of themis fisherman.Climate condition in Surabaya tends to be hot with high humidity. Therefore, this study has purpose to implement the fisherman public house with responsive climate as the solution of climate problems and fishy smell by the fisherman’s activity producing the fish. On designing, analysis must be done before, consist of literature studies, comparative studies, and field observation that these data are further processed to produce synthesis and conclusions which later became general concept that was developed during the design process generates schematic design, then final schematic design, in accordance with the design methodology used. The result is a design of fisherman public housing in Romokalisari Surabaya which has an integrations of parameter’s study result and existing local conditions. The focus is climate responsive design that is able to apply the concept of climate response at the site and buildings through building orientation, openings, shading devices, materials, and vegetation.
