Abstract
PT. Sang Hyang Seri (Persero) merupakan perintis dan pelopor usaha perbenihan di Indonesia serta satu-satunya Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) yang mempunyai core business perbenihan pertanian. Peningkatan efektivitas dan efisien dalam produktivitas merupakan hal utama, dan yang paling berpengaruh dalam produktivitas adalah profitabilitas perusahaan. Perusahaan harus dapat meningkatkan produktivitas apabila tetap ingin bersaing dengan kompetitor lain. Berdasarkan data yang didapat dari perusahaan terdapat beberapa produk yang mengalami kerugian pada beberapa bulan di tahun 2012. Kondisi inilah yang menunjukkan dibutuhkannya analisis hasil produktivitas perusahaan beberapa tahun terakhir. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya pengukuran dan analisis indeks produktivitas, profitabilitas maupun perbaikan harga. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan evaluasi untuk menaikkan produktivitas maupun profitabilitas pada masa mendatang. Penelitian ini menggunakan model American Productivity Center (APC) agar perusahaan dapat mengetahui hubungan antara produktivitas, profitabilitas dan perbaikan harga, karena secara otomatis produktivitas juga mempengaruhi profitabilitas perusahaan. Identifikasi penyebab naik turunnya produktivitas yang dicapai perusahaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Root cause Analysis. Terdapat lima kriteria produktivitas yaitu produktivitas material, labor, energi, modal, dan total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan produktivitas dan profitabilitas perusahaan yang paling menonjol terjadi pada bulan Desember 2012. Dari hasil analisis yang perlu diperbaiki adalah indeks produktivitas dan indeks profitabilitas karena output yang minimum, namun biaya total input yang tinggi, output yang minim karena tidak ada penjualan padi hibrida, dan terdapat benih yang tidak terjual. Maka dari itu perlu adanya perbaikan penjualan, salah satunya dengan kesepakatan dua pihak terkait mengenai perjanjian jual beli dan perbaikan kualitas dan inovasi produk untuk peningkatan pendapatan perusahaan. Cara untuk menghindari biaya total input yang tinggi yaitu perlunya dilakukan perbaikan perencanaan proses produksi untuk mengurangi biaya perawatan material maupun biaya labor yang menyebabkan profit perusahaan menurun. Semua hal ini ditujukan untuk mencapai target perusahaan. Peneliti memberikan saran agar target perusahaan optimal maka harus melakukan perbaikan dan peningkatan kualitas, efektivitas dan efisiensi proses produksi.
English Abstract
PT. Sang Hyang Seri (Persero) is a pioneer of seed business in Indonesia. This is state-owned enterprises that have a core business of seed. The increasing of effectiveness and efficiency in productivity are the main thing and the most influential in productivity for profitability of the company. The companies should be able to increase productivity, if they want to compete to the competitors. Based on data obtained from the company (PT. Sang Hyang Seri), there are some products that cause a loss to the company for a few months in 2012. This conditions indicate the need of analysis from the results of the last few years of company’s productivity. Therefore, there is need to measure the productivity index, profitability index and price recovery index. This research aims to provide an evaluation to increase productivity and profitability in the future. This study uses the American Productivity Center (APC) model, so that the company can determine the relationship between productivity, profitability, and price recovery because productivity will automatically affecting the profitability of the company. Identification the causes of fluctuation in productivity are identified by using a root cause analysis. There are five productivity criterias: material labor, energy, capital and total productivity. The result of the study showed that both productivity and profitability of the company are the most prominent decline in December 2012. From the analysis of result there is a need to fix is the productivity index and profitability index size due to the lack of sales non hibride rice. Sales can be improved, with the agreement of the two parties related purchase agreement, and to improve the quality and innovation of product, to improve the corporate earnings. While to avoid the high cost of total inputs of production, it can be done by replanning of production process to decrease in the cost of treatment or the cost of labor which can decreased profitability.This study suggest that to achieve the company optimum target, there should be a repairs and improvement of the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the production process.
