Abstract

Kota Probolinggo merupakan salah satu kota di Propinsi Jawa Timur yang memiliki sejarah bentuk dan struktur kota yang khas dengan tipologi sebuah kota administratif Belanda yang terencana dengan baik sekali. Namun bangunan-bangunan peninggalan kolonial Belanda banyak yang mengalami self destruction dan active destruction . Koridor Suroyo merupakan bekas permukiman Belanda sekaligus sebagai sumbu utama Kota Probolinggo, yang dahulu disebut Heerenstraat . Namun pada saat ini peran Jalan Suroyo sebagai simbol kekuasaan kolonial menjadi hilang. Sehingga perlu dilakukan konservasi dan kontekstualitas pada bangunan dengan fungsi modern yang telah ada. Bangunan-bangunan hotel di Kota Probolinggo terletak di kawasan revitalisasi kolonial kota, namun belum mampu menjawab kontekstual dari segi visual serta berupaya melestarikan citra kota kolonial. A komodasi modern seperti hotel memiliki potensi yang sangat besar, karena kesejarahan letak kota yang strategis. Sehingga diperlukan pendekatan arsitektural khususnya bangunan hotel yang terletak di koridor bersejarah Jalan Suroyo, yaitu bangunan Hotel Tampiarto. Hal ini dikarenakan pengolahan fasade dan ruang luar hotel tersebut belum kontekstual dalam koridor Jalan Suroyo mengakibatkan degradasi dan ketimpangan visual koridor jalan tersebut. Revitalisasi kawasan bersejarah salah satunya dengan pengolahan fasade ruang luar bangunan hotel, yakni Hotel Tampiarto, sehingga kontekstual dan memberikan manfaat bagi peningkatan kualitas lingkungan kawasan revitalisasi koridor bersejarah kolonial di Jalan Suroyo . Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan sebuah kajian untuk menghasilkan konsep desain fasade dan ruang luar pada hotel di Kota Probolinggo yang merujuk pada arsitektur kolonial yang mampu menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah menghasilkan konsep desain fasade dan ruang luar pada hotel di Kota Probolinggo yang merujuk pada arsitektur kolonial. Pengkajian dititikberatkan pada penelusuran tip ologi fasade dan ruang luar bangunan berarsitektur kolonial Belanda, yaitu bangunan hotel dan bangunan di koridor Jalan Suroyo Probolinggo. Kriteria fasade bangunan meliputi elemen-elemen pembentuk fasade, serta berhubungan dengan bentuk dan proporsi, warna, tekstur dan pola permukaan. Sedangkan kriteria meliputi tipe ruang luar, sifat obyek pada ruang luar, volume pada ruang luar serta detail ruang luar. Beberapa tahapan dalam metode kajian yang digunakan adalah tahap gagasan, pengumpulan variabel, analisis tipologi, konsep, evaluasi alternatif desain. Beberapa studi dilakukan untuk mencari data yang mendukung, baik dengan observasi, studi komparasi maupun studi literatur. Beberapa teori arsitektural yang digunakan antara lain teori fasade, ruang luar, hotel, arsitektur kolonial Belanda, teknik insertion , teori tipologi dan transformasi. Untuk hasilnya berupa konsep fasade dan ruang luar hotel yang dikembangkan menjadi alternatif desain bagi bangunan Hotel Tampiarto .

English Abstract

City of Probolinggo is one city in East Java province which has a history of form and structure of a typical city with a typology of Dutch administrative city planned very well. However, heritage buildings, many of them have the Dutch colonial self- destruction and active destruction. Suroyo Corridor is a former Dutch settlement at the same time as the main axis of the city of Probolinggo, formerly called Heerenstraat. However, at present the role Suroyo road as a symbol of colonial power is lost. So that needs to be done and contextuality conservation in buildings with modern functionality that already exists. The buildings in the town of Probolinggo hotel located in the revitalization of the colonial city, but has not been able to answer in terms of visual contextual and seeks to preserve the image of colonial city. Modern accommodations such as hotels have huge potential, because of historical location of a strategic city. So, we need an architectural approach, especially the hotel building located in historic road corridor Suroyo, which is Tampiarto hotel building. This is because the processing of the hotel facade and outer space are not contextual in the corridor roads lead to degradation and inequality Suroyo visual corridor road. Revitalizing the historic district one to processing of outer space hotel building facade, the Tampiarto Hotel, so contextual and provide benefits to improving environmental quality corridor revitalization of the historic colonial district in the street Suroyo. Therefore it needs to do a study to produce a concept design facade and open space at hotels in the city of Probolinggo which refers to the colonial architecture that can be the solution to these problems The purpose of this study is to produce a concept design facade and open space at the hotel in the city of Probolinggo which refers to the colonial architecture. The assessment focused on the typology of your search the facade and open space of Dutch colonial architecture building, namely the building of hotels and buildings in the corridor road Suroyo Probolinggo. Criteria include façade building, facade forming elements, and related to the form and proportion, colors, texture and surface patterns, while the criteria include open space and the nature of objects in open space, the volume of open space and detail the open space. Several stages in the assessment method used is the idea stage, variable collection, analysis, typologies, concepts, evaluating alternative designs. Several studies carried out to find data to support, either by observation, study and study comparative literature. Several theories are used, among other architectural façade theory, open space, hotels, Dutch colonial architectur, insertion technique, the theory of typology and transformation. For the results of the concept of façade and open space hotel who developed into alternative designs for the Tampiarto hotel building.
