Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan percobaan in vivo di wilayah Pasuruan. Analisis proksimat pakan dan urin untuk pengukuran retensi N dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai Desember 2013 sampai April 2014. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mencari kombinasi terbaik yang menghasilkan intake, retensi N dan PBB terbaik pada DEG secara In vivo. Materi yang digunakan DEG sebanyak 24 ekor, jenis kelamin jantan dengan kisaran umur 8-9 bulan dengan bobot badan antar 16-20 kg.Bahan pakan yang digunakan dan silase kulit ketela pohon (K), tepung gaplek (U), dantepung daun ketela pohon (D).Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan empat perlakuan dan enamkelompok ulanganberdasarkan bobot badan. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu :P1 = K 40% + U 20% + D 40%, P2= K 40% + U 25% + D 35%, P3 = K 40% + U 30% + D 30%, P4= K 40% + U 35% + D 25%. Variabel yang diamati meliputi meliputi konsumsi nutrien, retensi N, dan PBB. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam, apabila terdapat perbedaan pengaruh diantara perlakuan atau kelompok maka akan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan’s (UJBD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi PK, SK, LK, dan BETN. Rataan konsumsi nutrien perlakuan berturut-turut P1 : 7,07; 6,64; 7,32; dan 31,51 g/kg BB0,75/hari, P2: 6,41; 6,16; 6,7; dan 33,42 g/kg BB0,75/hari, P3: 5,85; 5,78; 6,18; dan 35,89 g/kg BB0,75/hari dan P4: 5,17; 5,28; 5,53; dan 37,69 g/kg BB0,75/hari. Perlakuan memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01).terhadap retensi N yaitu P1: 5,12 (g/ekor/hari), P2: 4,87 (g/ekor/hari), P3 : 3,98 (g/ekor/hari), dan P4 : 3,24 (g/ekor/hari). Perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0.05) terhadap PBB, PBB pada P1: 69,41 (g/ekor/hari), P2: 60,40 (g/ekor/hari), P3: 56,35 (g/ekor/hari), dan P4 : 51,38 (g/ekor/hari). v Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perbedaan proporsi komponen tanaman ketela pohon dalam pakan berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi, retensi N dan PBB cenderung meningkat seiring penambahan level pemberian daun ketela pohon dalam bentuk kering dalam pakan perlakuan pada DEG.

English Abstract

The research was conducted using an in vivo experiment in Pasuruan regency from December 2013 to April 2014. The purpose of the research was to find out the best combination of utilization of cassava by product : cassava chip flour (C), cassava leaf meal (L) and cassava peel silage (P) in the feed. The variable being feed intake, N retention and average daily gain (ADG) of fat tail sheep. The materials used were 24 male fat tail sheep with 8 – 9 month age and the body weight was 16 – 20 kg. The materials used were cassava chip flour, dried cassava leaves meal and cassava peel silage. The method of this research was Randomized Block Design with four treatments and six replications as group based on body weight. The treatments consisted fourdiets : T1 = P 40% + C 20% + L 40%, T2 = P 40% + C 25% + L 35%, T3 = P 40% + C 30% + L 30%, T4 = P 40% + C 35% + L 25%. The results showed that the treatment gave highly significant effect (P<0.01) on feed intake of CP, CF, EE and NFE. The average feed intake were T1 7.07; 6.64; 7.32; and 31.51 g /kg BB0.75/day, T2 6.41; 6.16; 6.70; and 33.42 g/kg BB0.75/day, T3 5.85; 5.78; 6.18; and 35.89 g/kg BB0.75/day and T4 5.17; 5.28; 5.53; and 37.69 g/kg BB0.75/day. The result also show that the treatment gave highly significant effect (P<0.01) on N retention. The average of N retention was T1 5.12 (g/head/day), T2 4.87 (g/head/day), T33.98 (g/head/day) and T43.24 (g/head/day). The treatments gave significant effect (P<0.05) on ADG was T1 69.41 (g/head/day), T2 60.40 (g/head/day), T3 56.35 (g/head/day), and T4 51.38 (g/head/day). It can be concluded that the different component of cassava combination in the diet gave effect on intake and T1 had highest intake level especially CP content, while T1 was highest in N retention and ADG to increase with addition of dried cassava leaves meal in fat tail sheep diet.
