Abstract
Website Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Malang adalah salah satu bentuk layanan dari Pemerintah Kota Malang khususnya dibawah tanggung jawab Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Malang. Terdapat penelitian sebelumnya pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Malang yang diketahui bahwa ada pemasalahan usability pada website yang dimilikinya, sehingga hal tersebut berpengaruh pada tingkat kinerja serta layanan yang masih dibawah harapan pengguna. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah merekomendasikan perbaikan antarmuka pengguna website dari Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Malang yang berpusat pada pengguna. Proses perbaikan akan mengadaptasi pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD). HCD merupakan sebuah pendekatan dalam pengembangan sistem interaktif yang berfokus pada penggunaan dalam pembuatan sistem yang dapat dipakai dan berguna. Penelitian ini akan membahas pengembangan antamuka pengguna website mulai dari memahami dan menentukan konteks penggunaan, kebutuhan pengguna, solusi perancangan, dan evaluasi desain. Di akhir tahapan akan di evaluasi dengan cara membandingkan hasil kedua data metrik yang di dapat pada evaluasi menggunakan usability testing. Peningkatan nilai usability dilihat dari 3 aspek usability yaitu efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kepuasan pengguna. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rancangan purwarupa dengan pendekatan Human Centered Design memiliki nilai usability yang lebih baik dari website Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Malang saat ini. Pada aspek efektivitas mengalami peningkatan, pada website saat ini dikategorikan normal sedangkan rancangan purwarupa dikategorikan good. Pada aspek efisiensi, waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengerjakan tugas mengalami pengurangan waktu dan hasil kuesioner meningkat. Sehingga pengguna tidak terlalu membutuhkan sumber daya lebih dalam mengerjakan tugas. Pada aspek kepuasan mengalami peningkatan, skor yang didapat pada website saat ini dapat dikategorikan poor dan tidak dapat diterima, sedangkan skor pada purwarupa dapat dikategorikan excellent dan dapat diterima oleh pengguna
English Abstract
Website Library and archive of Malang Area is one of service form from Government of Malang City especially under responsibility of Library and Archive Office of Malang City. In previous research at the Library and Archives Office of Malang, it is known that there are usability problems on its website, so that it affects the level of performance and services that are still below the expectations of users. The purpose of this study is recommendation improving the user interface of the website from the Library and Archives Office of Malang City which is user centered. The improvement process will adapt the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach. HCD is an approach in the development of interactive systems that focuses on the user in making the system usable and useful. This research will discuss the development of user interaction websites ranging from understanding and specify context of use, specify user requirement, design solutions, and design evaluation. At the end of the stages will be evaluated by the data of metrics that can be evaluated using usability testing. Increased usability value from 3 aspects usability by effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that the design of the prototype with Human Centered Design approach has a better usability value from the website of Library and Regional Archives of Malang at this time. In the aspect of effectiveness has increased, on the website is currently categorized as normal while the design of the prototype is categorized as good. On the efficiency aspect, the time needed to do the task decreases the time and the questionnaire results has increase. So users not need more resources in doing the task. In the aspect of satisfaction has increased, the score compacted on the current website can be categorized poor and not acceptable, while the score on the prototype can be categorized excellent and acceptable by the user.
