Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efek pemanfaatan campuran makan kepiting air tawar pada pakan broiler pada kualitas bangkai broiler. Seratus UNSEX Lohmann dialokasikan untuk 20 plot, setiap plot mengisi 5 ayam pada usia 21 hari. Mereka memberi makan pakan eksperimental dan diberikan ad libitum. Eksperimen memiliki 4 perawatan dan 5 replikasi. P0 adalah kontrol pakan (0% makan kepiting air tawar), p1 pakan dengan 3% makan kepiting air tawar, p2 pakan dengan 6% makan kepiting air tawar dan p3 pakan dengan 9% makan kepiting air tawar. Variabel yang diukur adalah persentase bangkai, persentase lemak perut, berat organ usus dan kadar kolesterol karkas. Semua data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians dengan desain acak lengkap (CRD). Jika ada perbedaan antara efek pengobatan diikuti oleh jarak uji ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan makan kepiting air tawar dalam pakan tidak memberikan efek perbedaan yang signifikan (p & gt. 0,05) pada persentase bangkai, lemak perut, berat gizzard, dan berat limpa tetapi memberikan efek nyata (p & lt. 0,01) untuk berat hati, hati dan kandungan kolesterol bangkai. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan makan kepiting air tawar dalam umpan berkualitas broiler bangkai. Disarankan untuk menggunakan 6% makan kepiting air tawar dalam umpan broiler.

English Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effects of utilization of freshwater crab meal mixture in broiler feed on broiler carcass quality. A hundred unsex Lohmann were allotted to 20 plots , each plots filled 5 chickens at the age of 21 days. They were feed experimental feed and given water ad libitum . The experiment has 4 treatments and 5 replications. P0 is feed control (0 % freshwater crab meal), P1 feed with 3% freshwater crab meal, P2 feed with 6 % freshwater crab meal and P3 feed with 9 % freshwater crab meal. The variables measured were carcass percentage, percentage of abdominal fat, intestinal organ weight and carcass cholesterol content. All the data was analyzed using analysis of variance with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). If there is a difference between the effect of the treatment was followed by Duncan’s Multiple Test Distance. The results of research showed that the used of freshwater crab meal in the feed does not provide significant differences effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of carcass, abdominal fat, gizzard weight, and spleen weight but give real effect (P<0.01) to the weight of the heart, liver and carcass cholesterol content. It can be concluded that utilization of freshwater crab meal in feed decrease broiler carcass quality. It is sugested to use of 6 % freshwater crab meal in broiler feed.
