Sari, Ika Lestiana (2018) Infiltrasi Dan Simpanan Air Pada Jenis Naungan Yang Berbeda Di Lahan Kopi Desa Amadanom Kecamatan Dampit Kabupaten Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Coffee plants belong to important commodities in Indonesia. In 2003, coffee productivity in Indonesia reached 725 kg/ha and decreased 0,41% in 2016 to 722 kg/ha. Climate change is expected on the production of coffee crops. Some possibilities to reduce the effects of climate change are mitigation by implementing shade plants. Potensial water resources in the form of available water storage in the soil are indispensable in agricultural hydrology and water management. Vegetation cover such as shade plants has a big role in determining infiltration. The value of water storage can be determined by measured the water content in the soil. The entry of water into the soil can be measured using a single ring infiltrometer anda water balance analysis. This research aimed to understand the influence of different shade on coffee plants toward infiltration and water storage in the soil. This research was held on the Coffee plant in Amadanom village, Dampit, Malang on February 2018 until April 2018. The research used field observation and laboratory analysis as a research method with applying Randomized Block Design (RBD) that consists of 3 treatments and 5 repetitions. This study used three types of shade named a coffee plant with sengon shade, coffee plant with banana shade and coffee plant with durian shade. The parameters observed were infiltration and water content in the soil conducted in 3 periods as well as the bulk density, particle density, porosity, macro pore, texture and structure as researech support. The results showed that the differences of shade on coffee plants gave a significant effect (p<0,05) toward infiltration of water with the highest total of infiltration found in coffee plant with sengon shade (309,968 ± 5,855 mm) from total rainfall 354,731 mm. The results of water storage observation showed that the differences of shade in coffee plants have no significant effect (p>0.05) toward the amount of water storage in the soil. The value of water storage in the soil continued to decrease. The highest value in the coffee plant with durian shade was (287,0 ± 15,086 mm) in the first week and the lowest value found in the coffee plant with sengon shade (239.4 ± 10.871 mm) in the fifth week.
