Abstract
Pangan merupakan kebutuhan mendasar yang harus dipenuhi untuk kelangsungan hidup manusia. Ketergantungan masyarakat dengan beras menuntut ketersediaan beras dalam jumlah yang cukup. Beberapa tahun belakangan pola konsumsi beras semakin meningkat dikarenakan peralihan pangan dari daerah daerah yang awalnya mengkonsumsi non beras. Hal ini menyebabkan permintaan beras semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas yaitu penggunaan benih padi hibrida. Penyuluhan dan pendampingan telah dilakukan dalam beberapa tahun namun petani yang menggunakan benih hibrida cenderung sedikit dan stagnan. Petani lebih memilih menggunakan benih padi nonhibrida. Faktor utama petani tidak melanjutkan penggunaan benih padi hibrida disebabkan kinerja dari benih hibrida tersebut tidak mampu memenuhi harapan petani dengan segala kelebihan dan kekurangannya. Hal ini mempengaruhi sikap & kepuasan petani terhadap benih padi hibrida. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah dirumuskan, maka tujuan penelitian ini ialah (1) untuk menganalisis sikap petani terhadap benih padi hibrida varietas Mapan 02 di Desa Pandan Wangi Kecamatan Jerowaru Kabupaten Lombok Timur, dan (2) untuk menganalisis kepuasan petani terhadap benih padi hibrida varietas Mapan 02 di Desa Pandan Wangi Kecamatan Jerowaru Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Pandan Wangi, Kecamatan Jerowaru, Kabupaten Lombok Timur, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode penentuan responden menggunakan metode sensus dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 43 petani. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah alat analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik responden dan analisis kuantitatif menggunakan analisis Multiatribut Fishbein dan CSI untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sikap yang didapat dari nilai kepercayaan dan nilai kepentingan petani sebesar 133,85 sudah dapat memenuhi harapan dari petani namun masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan lagi terhadap atributatribut yang mempunyai nilai sikap yang rendah. Nilai kepuasan petani secara keseluruhan sebesar 64,17% didapat dari analisis menggunakan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) yang termasuk dalam rentang skala 51% < CSI ≤ 65% yang berarti petani cukup puas terhadap benih hibrida Mapan P-02. Tingkat kepuasan ini belum dapat meyakinkan petani dalam penggunaan benih padi hibrida karena masih terdapat beberapa atribut yang nilai kepercayaannya masih jauh dari harapan petani. Perusahaan X selaku produsen benih sebaiknya melakukan pembenahan pada atribut harga dan ketersediaan benih. Pembenahan atribut ketersediaan benih dapat dilakukan dengan cara penambahan agen di kecamatan Jerowaru
English Abstract
Food is a fundamental need that must be met for human survival. The community's dependence on rice demands a sufficient supply of rice. In recent years the pattern of rice consumption has been increasing due to the shifting of food from regions that initially consume non-rice. This causes rice demand to increase from year to year to meet the needs of the community. One solution to increase productivity is the use of hybrid rice seeds. Counseling and mentoring has been done in a few years but farmers using hybrid seeds tend to be small and stagnant. Farmers prefer to use non-hybrid rice seeds. The main factor farmers do not continue the use of hybrid rice seeds due to the performance of the hybrid seed is not able to meet the expectations of farmers with all the advantages and disadvantages. This affects the attitude and satisfaction of farmers to hybrid rice seeds. Based on the problems that have been formulated, the purpose of this study is (1) to analyze the attitude of farmers to hybrid rice seeds of Mapan 02 varieties in Pandan Wangi Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok regency, and (2) to analyze farmers' satisfaction on hybrid rice seed varieties Mapan 02 in Pandan Wangi Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok District. This research was conducted in Pandan Wangi Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The method of determining the respondents using the census method with the number of respondents as many as 43 farmers. Data analysis tool used is descriptive analysis tool to describe the characteristics of respondents and quantitative analysis using Multiattribut analysis Fishbein and CSI to answer the purpose of research. The results showed that the attitudes obtained from the value of confidence and the importance of the farmers of 133.85 have been able to meet the expectations of farmers but still need to be done again on the attributes that have low attitudes. The overall farmer satisfaction score of 64.17% can be from the analysis using Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) which is included in the scale range 51% <CSI ≤ 65% which means that farmers are satisfied with the hybrid seeds of Mapan P-02. This level of satisfaction has not been able to convince farmers in the use of hybrid rice seeds because there are still some attributes whose trust value is still far from the expectations of farmers. Company X as seed producer should make improvements on price attributes and seed availability. improvement the attributes of seed availability can be done by adding agents in Jerowaru subdistrict.
