Abstract

Tanaman sawi hijau merupakan tanaman yang berasal dari suku kubiskubisan (Brassicae). Tanaman ini memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi sehingga banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani Indonesia. Salah satu faktor kendala dalam budidaya tanaman sawi adalah patogen tanaman. Patogen yang menyerang tanaman sawi salah satunya virus yaitu TuMV. TuMV telah menyerang tanaman sawi dan lobak di Jawa dan Bali. Penggunaan varietas tanaman sawi belum diuji ketahanannya terhadap infeksi TuMV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan dan pengaruh infeksi TuMV terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi enam varietas tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan 5 dan Rumah Kaca Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya.Pelaksanaan penelitian pada bulan Mei – Juli 2018. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) perlakuan inokulasi TuMV pada enam varietas tanaman sawi hijau, yaitu Puteri (P1), Loss (P2), Patas (P3), Tosakan (P4), Ferina (P5) dan Shinta (P6). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang 4 kali.Data pengamatan yang diperoleh dari percobaan dianalisis menggunakan uji F pada taraf 5%, apabila data berbeda nyata diuji lanjut dengan uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Pada enam varietas tanaman sawi yang telah diinokulasi TuMV memiliki gejala daun mosaic, melepuh, malformasi dan terdapat tanaman yang kerdil.Berdasarkan parameter yang digunakan untuk menghitung kategori ketahanan varietas tanaman sawi hijau yaitu masa inkubasi, intensitas serangan, panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar, dan bobot basah tanaman.Hasil penelitian tingkat ketahanan varietas tanaman sawi terhadap infeksi TuMV yaitu varietas yang termasuk kategori rentan adalah varietas Puteri dengan rata-rata 6.69, Loss dengan rata-rata 6.86 dan Tosakan dengan rata-rata 5.77. Sedangkan tingkat kategori tahan yaitu varietas Ferina dengan rata-rata 9.22 dan Shinta dengan rata-rata 10.09. English Abstract

Green mustard is one of plant from the cabbage family (Brassicae). This plant has high economic value so it is widely cultivated by Indonesian farmers. One obstacle factor in the cultivation of mustard plants is plant pathogens. TuMV is one of Pathogens that attack mustard plants. TuMV has attacked mustard and radishes in Java and Bali. The use of mustard varieties has not been tested for resistance to TuMV infection. The purpose of this research is to determine the resistance and influence of TuMV infection on the growth and production of six varieties of mustard green plants (Brassica juncea L). The research was carried out at the Laboratory of Plant 5 and Greenhouse Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture,Brawijaya University. The research was conducted in May - July 2018. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the treatment used TuMV inoculation for six varieties of mustard plants with four replicants. The varieties are :Puteri (P1), Loss (P2), Patas (P3), Tosakan (P4) , Ferina (P5) and Shinta (P6). Observation data obtained from experiments were analyzed using the F test , data showed that significant will tested again with BNT at 5% level. In six varieties of mustard plants that have been inoculated TuMV has symptoms of mosaic leaves, blisters, malformations and there are stunted plants. Based on the parameters used to calculate the resistance category of mustard plants, the incubation period, attack intensity, plant length, number of leaves, root length, and wet weight of plants. The results of the research on the level of resistance of mustard varieties to TuMV infection, the varieties of Puteri with the average rate of 6.69, Loss with the average rate of 6.86 and Tosakan with the average rate of 5.77 were vulnerable categories. Meanwhile, the varieties of Ferina with the average rate of 9.22 and Shinta with the average rate of 10.09 were the resistant category. The durability of a plant variety is influenced by the nature of the virus from each variety, the ability of the virus to infect plants.
