Abstract
Analogi tikus merupakan pokok penyampaian karya yang terinspirasi dari permasalahan yang terjadi di kalangan masyarakat. Tikus di Indonesia khususnya ibukota seringkali di anggap sebagai representasi dari seorang koruptor, sedangkan di India tepatnya di Bikaner tikus dianggap sebagai reinkarnasi dari keluarga yang telah meninggal dunia, dan dalam penanggalan Tionghoa shio tikus dipercayai sebagai simbol tahun keberuntungan. Karena hal ini akhirnya mendorong penulis untuk menciptakan karya seni lukis yang bertujuan untuk mengkritisi dan mengungkapkan perbedaan analogi hal tersebut. Proses penciptaan karya penulis melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi, pembentukan dan evaluasi. Pada proses penciptaan terinspirasi oleh karya Arian Arifin dari visual karya yang menggunakan interpretasi dari hewan dan manusia. Terinspirasi juga oleh karya Suraji yakni sama sama memvisualisasiakan tikus sebagai objek utama dan mereprentasikan perilaku manusia yang di simbolkan dengan tikus. Kedua karya perupa tersebut sama mengungkapan keprihatinan seperti penulis. Penciptaan karya penulis disini lebih kepada pemakaian warna hitam dan putih dengan eksplorasi teknik arsir menggunakan drawing pen untuk menciptakan komposisi intensitas pada objek visual di media kanvas, kemudian karakter tikus di rubah penulis dengan menyederhanakan dan merubah bentuk untuk memberikan kesan kartun. Analogi tikus dalam karya seni lukis adalah bagian representasi kehidupan yang dipahami penulis yang di identikkan dengan sesuatu yang negatif akan tetapi penulis juga menyadari bahwa tikus mempunyai potensi untuk di kembangkan baik secara visual maupun konseptual.
English Abstract
Rats analogy is the subject of the work that is inspired by the problems that occur in the community. Rats in Indonesia especially the capital are often regarded as representations of a corrupt, while in India precisely in Bikaner rats is considered as the reincarnation of the deceased family, and in Chinese calendar zodiac rats is believed to be a lucky year. Because this ultimately encourages writers to create works of art that aims to criticize and express the difference analogies of it. Creation methods used are by exploration, improvisation or experimentation and formation. In the process of creation inspired by the work of Arian Arifin from visual works that use interpretations of animals and humans. Inspired also by Suraji's work of equally visualizing mice as the main object and representing human behavior symbolized by rats. Both works of artists are equally expressing concerns like the author. Creation of the author's work here is more to the use of black and white with the exploration of shading techniques using drawing pen to create the composition of the intensity of the visual object in the media canvas, then the mouse characters in the fox writer by simplifying and changing the shape to give the impression of cartoon. The analogy of rats in painting is part of the representation of life that the author understands in identical with something negative but the author also realizes that rats have the potential to be developed both visually and conceptually.
