Abstract

Pemanfaan hutan mangrove secara berlebihan di daerah pesisir Kabupaten Probolinggo telah berdampak pada rusaknya ekosistem dan terganggunya karakteristik hutan mangrove di lingkungan pesisir. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik sedimen dan struktur vegetasi mangrove kemudian menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik sedimen terhadap struktur vegetasi mangrove di daerah pesisir Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret tahun 2014, didaerah pesisir Kabupaten Probolinggo. Lokasi pengambilan data terbagi menjadi 6 stasiun berdasarkan stratifikasi sampling. Data yang diambil berupa karakteristik mangrove, sampel sedimen yang terdiri dari karakteristik kimia ( C, N dan P) dan Fisika ( tekstur sedimen). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan stastistika yaitu regresi dan PCA. Hasil pengukuran mangrove berupa kerapatan yang berkisar antara 600 Ind/Ha – 4780 Ind/Ha dan mangrove yang mendominasi dari jenis Rhizophora sp. Dan Avicennia sp. Hasil Pengukuran karakteristik kimia sedimen untuk Corganik berkisar 0.24 % - 3.47 %, N total berkisar 0.06 % - 0.27 % dan P Olsen berkisar 3.16 Mg kg-1 - 17.22 Mg kg-1. Kondisi bahan organik yang tinggi menandakan adanya asupan bahan organik dari darat. Hasil pengukuran karakteristik fisika sedimen dengan tekstur didominasi oleh lempung berdebu. Hasil analisis regresi dan korelasi antara kerapatan mangrove dan karakteristik sedimen (kimia dan Fisika) memiliki pengaruh yang sangat tinggi (R2) berkisar 87 % -98% dengan keeratan (r) berkisar 93 % - 99%.Hasil PCA diperoleh parameter N total, C organik dan tekstur sedimen (Liat) memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap karakteristik mangrove.

English Abstract

Excessive utilization of mangrove forests in the coastal areas Probolinggo have an impact on the ecosystem destruction and disruption of the characteristics of mangrove forests in the coastal environment. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the characteristics sediment and mangrove vegetation structure and then analyze the influence of sediment characteristics of the mangrove vegetation structure in coastal area of Probolinggo, East Java. The experiment was conducted in March 2014, in coastal area of Probolinggo. Sample collection divided into six stations using stratification sampling method. Data of mangrove characteristics, sediment samples consisting of chemical (C, N and P) and Physics (sediment texture) properties. Data were analyzed descriptively and statistically analyzed using regression and PCA. Result shows that mangrove density ranges between 600 Ind / Ha - 4780 Ind / ha and dominate of Rhizophora sp. and Avicennia sp. Results from the chemical characteristics of sediment measurements for C organic range 0.24% - 3.47%, N total range 0.06 % - 0.27 % and P Olsen range 3.16 Mg kg-1 – 17.22 Mg kg-1, this indicates that source the organic metters are frome land (categories). Results Measurement of physical characteristics of sediments with textures dominated by dusty clay. Results of regression analysis and correlation between the density of mangrove and sediment characteristics (chemistry and physics) has a very high impact (R2) ranges from 87% - 98% with closeness (r) ranging from 93% - 99% .The result shows that parameters in PCA includes N total, C organic and texture of sediment (Clay) gives the largest contribution to the characteristics of mangrove in Probolinggo.
