Abstract
Dalam menentukan penerimaan beasiswa terhadap pengajuan beasiswa mahasiswa, petugas seleksi beasiswa seringkali mengalami permasalahan kesulitan penentuan mahasiswa yang mendapat beasiswa, yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti banyaknya jumlah mahasiswa yang mendaftar untuk mendapatkan beasiswa sedangkan kuota untuk mahasiswa yang mendapatkan beasiswa relatif sedikit, banyaknya parameter yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penentuan mahasiswa yang berhak mendapat beasiswa dan petugas seleksi beasiswa yang hanya diberi waktu yang relatif singkat dalam penentuan mahasiswa yang mendapat beasiswa. Sehingga diperlukan sebuah sistem klasifikasi yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam persoalan tersebut untuk memudahkan petugas seleksi beasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dataset sebanyak 370 data pengajuan beasiswa dengan 5 parameter dan 2 status penerimaan menggunakan metode Modified K-Nearest Neighbor. Metode Modified K-Nearest Neighbor terdiri dari proses normalisasi, jarak euclidean, validitas dan pembobotan weight voting. Keluaran dari sistem ini adalah berupa hasil penerimaan beasiswa. Hasil rata-rata akurasi tertinggi yang didapatkan berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan adalah sebesar 87.2%. Dari hasil akurasi tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan metode Modified K-Nearest Neighbor dapat diimplementasikan ke dalam sistem penetuan penerimaan beasiswa.
English Abstract
In determining the acceptance of students scholarship, the officers often face problem selecting student who are eligible for a scholarship that caused by several factors such as the number of students who apply for a scholarship while the quota for students who get scholarships is relatively small, the number of parameters used as a reference in determining the students who are eligible for a scholarship and the officers who are given only a relatively short time in determining the awardee. Therefore implement a classification system is required to this issue for help facilitate the scholarship selection officer. This research was conducted with dataset as much as 370 data of scholarship submission with 5 parameters and 2 acceptance status using Modified K-Nearest Neighbor method. Modified Method K-Nearest Neighbor consists of the process of calculating the normalization, distance euclidean, calculation of validity value and weight loss calculation. the output of this system is the result of the scholarship receipt. The highest average accuracy results obtained based on the tests that have been done is 87.2%. From the result of accuracy, it can be concluded that the method of Modified K-Nearest Neighbor method can be implemented into the system of determination schorlaship acceptance.
