Abstract

Tanaman kale adalah sayur yang mulai dibudidayakan petani secara meluas. Namun kale merupakan salah satu inang dari Myzus persicae. Untuk mengendalikan serangan M.persicae diajukan alternatif, yakni asap cair. Asap cair merupakan hasil pengarangan yang dimanfaatkan dalam budidaya tanaman. Asap cair dapat diperoleh dari bambu maupun kayu karet. Dalam penelitian ini bahan baku asap cair yang digunakan adalah batang semu tanaman pisang. Melalui penelitian ini dikaji pengaruh letal (daya racun), aktivitas repelensi dan pengaruh konsentrasi asap cair batang semu tanaman pisang terhadap M. persicae, serta pengaruhnya pada pertumbuhan tanaman kale. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kampung Organik Brenjonk yang terletak di Kecamatan Trawas, Kabupaten Mojokerto, Jawa Timur. Peneitian dimulai pada bulan Februari 2018 sampai bulan Juni 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengamati pengaruh letal (daya racun), adalah metode residu dengan 6 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh lalu diolah dengan aplikasi Hsin Chi untuk mengetahui LC50 dan LC90. Aktivitas repelensi yang diamati pada 6 perlakuan 4 ulangan lalu dikategorikan dan diuji Kruskal – Wallis. Nilai LC90 beserta turunannya kemudian dijadikan dasar perlakuan pengamatan pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap rerata populasi M. persicae dan indikator pertumbuhan kale. Sehingga diperoleh 6 konsentrasi perlakuan 4 ulangan yang diamati dalam rancangan acak kelompok. Data diuji dengan jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya racun asap cair batang semu pisang terhadap 50% M. persicae pada tanaman kale dicapai pada konsentrasi 10%. Repelensi asap cair batang semu pisang konsentrasi 50% terhadap M. persicae tergolong agak kuat (dengan nilai sebesar 45,399%). Namun, repelensi tersebut belum memenuhi kriteria komisi pestisida, yakni sebesar 90%. Pengaruh aplikasi asap cair batang semu pisang pada 1MSA, mengakibatkan rerata populasi M. persicae menurun. Sementara itu, pengaruh aplikasi asap cair batang semu pisang pada 2MSA – 4MSA, mengakibatkan rerata populasi M. persicae meningkat. Pengaruh aplikasi asap cair batang semu pisang dalam 4MSA, menimbulkan peningkatan rerata populasi M. persicae secara signifikan dibanding perlakuan kontrol. English Abstract

Kale plants are vegetables that are widely planted by farmers. But kale is one of the hosts of Myzus persicae. To combat M. persicae attacks here the alternative, namely liquid smoke. Liquid smoke have been used in plant cultivation. Liquid smoke can be obtained from bamboo or rubberwood. In this study, the raw material for liquid smoke is the pseudostem of banana plants. Through this study, the lethal effect (toxicity), repellency activity and the effect of the concentration of liquid smoke on the pseudostem of banana plants on M. persicae, as well as its effect on the growth of kale. The study was conducted in Brenjonk Organic Village at Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. The research began in February 2018 until June 2018. The method of observing lethal effects (toxic force) is the remainder method with 6 treatments 3 repetitions. The data then processed with the Hsin Chi application to determine LC50 and LC90. The rejection activity observed in 6 replication treatments was categorized and tested by Kruskal-Wallis. The LC90 value and its derivatives are used as the basis of the treatment to observe the effect of focusing on the average population of M. persicae and kale growth indicators. Thus, 6 treatment 4 replicate concentrations were observed in a randomized block design. The data was tested at Duncan's multiple test with at 5% error. The results showed that the toxicity of liquid smoke from pseudobanan stem to 50% M. persicae on kale plants was achieved at a concentration of 10%. The rejection of liquid smoke in banana stems with 50% concentration of M. persicae is quite strong (with a value of 45.399%). However, the rejection does not meet the pesticide commission criteria, which is 90%. The effect of giving liquid smoke from bananas to 1 week resulted in a decrease in the M. persicae population. In the meantime, the effect of liquid, liquid smoke in 2 week - 4 week resulted in an increase in the population of M. persicae. The effect of giving liquid pseudo-stem liquid smoke in 4 week significantly increased the mean population of M. persicae compared to the control treatment. The administration of liquid liquid nitrogen from banana stems does not affect kale crop growth indicators, namely plant height and number of leaves.
