Abstract
Kota Batu sebagai sentra budidaya buah apel mengharuskan para petani mampu untuk mensuplai permintaan apel di dalam maupun luar Kota. Budidaya tentunya tidak terlepas dari masalah serangan Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT). Sama halnya dengan tumbuhan lain, buah apel sangat rentan terhadap serangan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme. Penyakit yang paling sering menyerang tanaman apel adalah bercak daun, busuk batang dan busuk buah yang disebabkan oleh jamur. Cara yang paling efektif dilakukan adalah dengan memberinya pestisida dengan jenis fungisida. Seiring dengan menyebarnya berbagai macam penyakit, ditambah keadaan iklim yang tidak menentu, menyebabkan kebutuhan akan fungisida. Di Kota Batu sendiri, fungisida yang sering digunakan adalah merek Dithane dari PT. Dow Agroscience. Berbagai macam persaingan dari perusahaan lain, sementara ini tidak menggeser posisi fungisida Dithane sebagai fungisida pilihan pertama petani di Desa Tulungrejo Kecamatan Bumiaji Kota Batu. Akan tetapi, hal tersebut memunculkan beberapa pertanyaan yaitu (1) Bagaimana karakteristik petani apel yang menggunakan fungisida Dhitane ? (2) Faktor apa yang mempengaruhi preferensi petani dalam membeli fungisida merek Dithane sehingga merek tersebut paling diminati oleh petani? Munculnya pertanyaan tersebut, akan terjawab melalui penelitian yang berjudul “Preferensi Petani Apel Terhadap Fungisida Dithane PT. Dow Agroscience di Desa Tulungrejo Kecamatan Bumiaji Kota Batu”. Tujuan dari penelitian tersebut untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi preferensi petani dalam memilih fungisida Dhitane. Metode penentuan responden adalah simple random sampling, dengan total responden sebanyak 51 orang. Sedangkan data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan bantuan kuisioner serta data sekunder. Alat analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan analisis faktor serta analsis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi petani dalam membeli fungisida Dithane yaitu faktor harga dan produk.
English Abstract
Batu city as a center for the cultivation of apples requires farmers able to supply the demand for apples inside and outside the city. Aquaculture must not be separated from the problem attacks Plant Pest Organisms. As with other plants, apples are very susceptible to disease caused by microorganisms. Disease most often attacks the apple crop is leaf spot, stem rot and fruit rot caused by fungi. The most effective way to do is to give pesticides fungicides. Along with the spread of various diseases, plus state of the climate of uncertainty, causing the need for fungicides. In Stone Town itself, which is often used fungicide Dithane is a brand of PT. Dow Agrosciences. Various kinds of competition from other companies, while it does not shift position as a fungicide Dithane fungicide first choice of farmers in Tulungrejo, Bumiaji, Batu. However, it raises some questions: (1) How do the characteristics of the apple growers use fungicides Dhitane? (2) What factors influence the preferences of farmers in purchasing brand fungicide Dithane so that the brand most preferred by farmers? The emergence of these questions will be answered through research entitled "Farmer preferences Apples Against Dithane fungicide PT. Dow Agroscience in Tulungrejo, Bumiaji, Batu ". The purpose of the study to determine what factors affecting farmers preference in choosing a fungicide Dhitane. The method to determine the respondent is simple random sampling, with the total respondents were 51 people. While the data used is primary data with the help of questionnaires and secondary data. Data analysis tools in the study using factor analysis and the analysis of descriptive. Results from the study showed that there are two factors that affect farmers in buying preference Dithane fungicide that is the price factor and product.
