Abstract

Ubi jalar dikenal sebagai bahan pangan yang sudah diolah sedemikian rupa sehingga menghasilkan produk jadi yang lebih menarik dan awet. Namun, pada saat ini, pertumbuhan dan produksi ubi jalar semakin menurun karena faktor lingkungan yang semakin tidak sesuai dengan syarat tumbuh tanaman ubi jalar. Salah satu faktor lingkungan tersebut adalah tanah. Hilangnya unsur hara yang ada di dalam tanah dapat diakibatkan karena pemupukan dengan menggunakan pupuk kimia yang dilakukan secara terus-menerus. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan sistem pertanian organik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. dan kompos campuran terhadap sifat kimia tanah, populasi mikroba tanah dan pertumbuhan tanaman ubi jalar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Januari 2016 hingga Juli 2016 di Kebun Percobaan Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Pembuatan kompos dilakukan di Laboratorium Kompos Universitas Brawijaya. Analisis tanah dan pupuk dilakukan dilaboratorium kimia tanah dan biologi tanah Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan 6 perlakuan meliputi A (kontrol/tanpa perlakuan), B (pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. 25 kg ha-1), C (pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. 35 kg ha-1), D (Kompos campuran 5 t ha-1), E (Kombinasi pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. 25 kg ha-1 dan kompos campuran 5 t ha-1 dan F (Kombinasi pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. 35 kg ha-1 dan kompos campuran 5 t ha-1). Kemudian 6 perlakuan tersebut dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok. Data kemudian dianalisi ragam dengan menggunakan uji Duncan 5%. Aplikasi kombinasi pupuk hayati Trichoderma sp. 35 kg ha-1 dan Kompos campuran (daun Tithonia, Gliricidia dan tepung tulang ikan) 5 t ha-1 mampu meningkatkan pH tanah 6 kali lipat, C-Organik 1,1 kali lipat, N-Total 0,22 kali lipat, P-tersedia 0,66 kali lipat, panjang tanaman 0,58 kali lipat, jumlah cabang 0,13 kali lipat, rata-rata populasi bakteri 16 kali lipat dan rata-rata populasi fungi 2,8 kali lipat jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol.

English Abstract

The sweet potato is known as a food crop that can be processed to produce a finished product that is more attractive and durable. However at this time, the growth and production of sweet potato has declined due to environmental factors are increasingly incompatible with the requirements grow sweet potato crops. One of these environmental factors is the ground. The loss of nutrients present in the soil can be caused due to fertilization using chemical fertilizers are made continuously. In addressing this problem is to implement a system of organic farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer application and compost mixture to the soil chemical properties, soil microbial population and the growth of sweet potato crops. The research was conducted from January 2016 to July 2016 at the Experimental Field. Composting process in UBs Laboratory of compost. Soil chemistry were performed in the Chemistry Laboratory Departmentand Soil Science, Faculty of Agricultural, UB. The analysis of soil biology was done in the laboratory of biology Departemend Soil Science, Faculty of Agricultural, UB. This study uses 6 treatments including A (control / no treatment), B (Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer 25 kg ha-1), C (Trichoderma sp. biofertilizers 35 kg ha-1), D (mix compost of 5 t ha-1), E (Combination Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer 25 kg ha-1 and mix compost of 5 t ha-1 and F (combination of Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer 35 kg ha-1 and mix compost of 5 t ha-1). Then treatments be repeated 3 replication. the design used in this study is Randomized Block. The data was then analyzed using a variety of Duncan 5%. Applications combination of Trichoderma sp. biofertilizer 35 kg ha-1 and mix compost (leafs of Tithonia, Gamal and bone meal fish) 5 t ha-1 were able to increase the soil pH by 6 times, C-Organic to 1,1 times, total N by 0,22 times, P is available amounting to 0,66 , 16 times of the population of bacteria, fungi population amounted to 2,8 times, the length of the plant amounted to 0,58 times and the number of branches amounted by 0,13 times when compared to control.
